Who do you want visiting your web pages? How do you plan to get them there? What are they going to expect to see when they arrive?

Some thought needs to go into creating your web page content. Your words need to be optimized to the theme of the page in such a way that search engines will index the pages so others can find it. Your theme’s words and phrases, known as keywords, have to have a certain density before they will do you any good. I like the 1% to 3% keyword density to content words.

I like to use keyword phrases that are three and four words long, as it can be tough to rank for short phrases.

Example: Instead of using ‘travel’ or ‘world wide travel’ I might use ‘adventure world wide travel’ or world wide adventure travel

Keep your pages short, less than 500 words. It is better to create multiple pages and get more pages indexed for your target group to find in the search engines.

Start By Optimizing Your Content For Search Engine Traffic That Is Targeted.

Know what your keywords are and that those are the keywords your target group uses. Do some research by using the search engines and the keywords and phrase you believe with attract target traffic. Once you have a results page based on your search criteria start looking at the pages.

Is the site what you thought it would be. Check out the site to see other words and phrase that you may not have thought of yet. Look in the source code for their keywords and meta description. If you are using Windows just right click a blank area on the page and choose View Source.

Once you see the source code you should find the meta tags for both the keywords and description. The description is what could appear in the search engine results page so it should be worthy of reading.

My first experience with losing all my income in one day was an eye opener. I started my first online business, found what I thought was a great opportunity and went for it. It started out slow but my first month I made $7.00 which wasn’t much but it showed me it worked. Now all I had to do was get to work promoting this affiliate program and I was going to be rich.

Each month this affiliate program doubled, which at first still wasn’t that impressive but it grew and grew. It grew enough that I didn’t think I needed anything else. Well one month my check didn’t arrive and I could contact that affiliate program owner. The next month, no check again. To make a long story shorter that check or any other check from that program never materialized and my income was zero again. That is when I started working multiple streams of income so I wouldn’t get caught penniless ever again.

[aads]multiple streams income[/aads]

In hard economic times, it’s wise to look for ways to multiply your income. A paycheck simply won’t cut it these days. Do you find yourself living from payday to payday? You’re not alone. In fact, that’s how the majority of us live. Sometimes there just doesn’t seem to be a way out. You’ve got to meet your obligations, and perhaps you feel that’s the best you can do. However, here’s some good news. With a little creativity and little expense, you can generate multiple streams of income to enhance the family assets. Here are a few ideas.

If you have a little familiarity with the net, you’re halfway there. A website can be the answer to leveraging a modest investment into multiple streams of income.

Think about what you know. If you’re working as a secretary, you can set up a website offering your services as a “virtual assistant”. A virtual assistant provides secretarial services on a telecommute basis to clients around the world. Additionally, you can place advertising banners linking to other sites with services related to, but outside your capacity. Advertising banners pay commissions for each sale that results from a “click-through” from your site. You can set up links to Amazon or other book sites, advertising books relevant to your customer’s needs, which also pay handsome commissions for each sale. Without too much trouble, you can write a monthly newsletter, including links to sites your customers will find rewarding and for which you’ll gain another source of multiple streams of income.

No matter what your “day job” is, you can generate multiple streams of income to enhance and build off your paycheck job. Advertising is key in your search for added income. Are you a mechanic? Why not set up your website, filled with information on cars, with advertising links to resources, books, car parts, junkyards and car shows? Garner your commissions for sales on click-throughs, creating multiple streams of income to add to your weekly paycheck.

Writers are notoriously underpaid. The self-employed writer has many “dry” periods where no income whatsoever is forthcoming. Set up your own website, packed with information and articles – you’re a writer, right? Write your own newsletter, including links to resources and products your audience will find helpful and gain commissions and advertising income to boot!

The net is a boon to every profession. You have something to offer to the world at large. You just have to let them know! When you do, you’ll realize the benefits of multiple streams of income.

I personally love to get involved in affiliate programs and affiliate marketing. Why waste time creating something of your own when there is so much out there in the form of affiliate programs and they have it already done and ready to go. All you need to do is sign up to the affiliate programs you like and start promoting through affiliate marketing.

It’s no big secret that we all need money to survive in this crazy world. While some of us are born with it, the majority of us have to seek out business ventures and make our own capital. On the bright side, this is easier now than it’s ever been before. We currently reside in a world of endless possibilities. Much of this is related to the World-Wide-Web. Computers and cyberspace have opened so many doors. It’s certainly reasonable to assume you can make a hefty income online. Countless others, not so different from yourself, do it everyday. Our modern world is loaded with money making ideas and wonderful ways to pursue them. Are you ready to work from home?

[aads]money making ideas[/aads]

We’re flooded with infinite infomercials now days. Many of them talk about at-home money making ideas. While I think this is great, you may not be clear on what it is they’re pitching. Well, you don’t really have to choose a particular path. There are countless ways to earn a decent living via the web. Have you ever considered opening up your own business. I can’t even begin to imagine how many others have done this online by now. But we all see the abundance of web-stores. You could have one of your own if you wanted. There’s always room for more. That’s what’s so wonderful about cyberspace. There’s always more space. And imagine the potential customers. Six billion people inhabit this planet. How many of them do you think surf the web regularly? My guess is a freaking lot. You see, the cool thing about having your business in cyberspace is the rental fees. They’re nothing compared to having a business in the local shopping mall or downtown. Just ask yourself what kind of business would suit you. What do you feel passionate about?

It doesn’t stop with online companies/businesses. There are other great money making ideas to ponder. Ever heard of Google Adsense or Yahoo Publisher? Google and Yahoo are two of the largest search engines right now. And they pay ad revenue to those who place their ads on websites. So if you were to build web pages and place Google ads on them, every time you get traffic and someone clicks on a Google ad, Google pays you. Therefore you might want to consider building websites in your spare time. As I said before, there are countless money making ideas with the web at our fingertips.

How many times have I been sucked into make money online scams, so I understand people being a little skeptical about making money online.

Whenever I hear someone talking about how to make easy money on the Internet, I automatically cringe. You see, until recently all of my efforts to make money on the Internet failed. I have to admit that I am somewhat gullible. In most respects, I am fairly intelligent, but I have a way of falling for scams that is quite unbecoming. There are so many things that I want to believe, and the idea that I can become rich overnight is at the top of the list. In short, I’m exactly the person who the make money online sellers target – naïve, enterprising, and just a little bit desperate.

As a matter of fact, I have tried almost every possible way to make money on the Internet. I tried selling on eBay, which did absolutely nothing for me. I was able to sell a few odds and ends that I have collected over the years, but with the amount of time that I invested in creating an eBay store, I didn’t really gain enough to make it worth it. That was one of my more successful attempts to make money online too! Some of the other ones are almost too embarrassing to tell.

Of course, I tried to make money on the Internet through affiliate programs, but I never got more than a few dollars from this. I run a pretty popular blog, and I figured that I could turn all that Web traffic to my advantage. Unfortunately, although it did make a buck or two, I also alienated a lot of my readers with my attempts to make money on the web. You see, it is an environmentalist, anti-consumer blog. Seeing Internet pop-up ads on it was the last thing my readers wanted. The backlash wasn’t worth a few bucks.

Come to think of it, I have been completely unable to make money on the Internet except in ways that I made money before the Internet was around. You see, I have dabbled in freelance writing for years and years. The Internet has made it a lot easier for us freelancers. We can find work from the comfort of our own homes, and we don’t have to wait for e-mails or telephone calls anymore. If you are a decent writer and pretty good at marketing yourself, this is an easy and obvious method for making money on the Internet. Nevertheless, don’t start off thinking that it will make you rich overnight. It simply won’t.

A really good source of income for me is article marketing but not just any articles. I tried the private label rights articles but when you search for these you find that there are thousands of the exact same article and that won’t work. I then tried to rewrite the articles to make them keyword focused but this took so much of my time I decided to hire someone to write them for me based on keyword phrases I wanted.

Having others write my articles worked but I found that the money I was paying out could be spent elsewhere and earn me even more money. That place is Mike Liebner’s Article Underground. My monthly membership costs me less than I was paying for just 10 articles and Article Underground provides me with 400 articles a month. Plus these articles go to no more than 350 members.

The time I saved on ‘not writing my own articles’ was amazing and gave me the time I needed to start more websites that I can use these articles on. Thank you Mike Liebner & Article Underground. Come on over to Mike Liebner’s Article Underground and see how you can turn your websites into profit machines.

So you’ve taken the time to build a wonderful website or a knock-out blog that has to be read. The problem is that you have absolutely no traffic let alone target traffic. Considering the number of blogs and websites there are floating around out there, there is little surprise in this. You need to learn the tricks to add your urls to search engines to get that target traffic to your website.

I know that this can be overwhelming to some of us, especially if you just want to run a nice site or personal blog. You don’t have to be a computer expert to add url to search engines but it helps. You have to follow some steps and get yourself connected to people in the know when it comes to this kind of thing, or spend the time learning it yourself.

Why go through all of the hassle of trying to figure out this kind of thing on your own when there are professionals out there who are more than willing to work with you in your efforts to add url to search engines? I spent hours learning how to thread an rss feed from my blog and to be honest, I have forgotten the entire process.

I could have saved myself a lot of time and a lot of aggravation by simply looking for help online. And I was only working with a blog. Websites are more challenging. Blogs are updated on a regular basis. Websites are not. It is important to keep your site up to date. Beginning with the task of learning how to add url to search engines is a smart move.

There are a few online organizations that will submit your site to search engine tools and site directories. They are capable of completing the task to add url to search engines automatically and they also provide manual submissions to as well. Anyone who has ever tried to do this himself really appreciates the value of this.

But I don’t do this. I never submit my websites directly to search engines. They prefer to find your pages themselves on other people’s sites. It says more about you when someone else refers to you than just submitting to search engines.

I personal use a few methods to get the attention of the search engines.

I write articles and submit them to article directories. Most of the time I only submit to ezinearticles.com but I do have others that I will use.

I join forums with like minded people and leave my signature with my site link. I then start sharing with others and through out the forum without spamming of course.

I have numerous blogs so I visit other blogs that are on topic with my own and comment on the posts I enjoy or can add to.

Social networking is huge and can get you a lot of attention as well.

It’s a fact that anyone can be successful in affiliate marketing but most new marketers aren’t. The reason for all the failures usually involve the following ten affiliate marketing mistakes. Avoid these profit killing mistakes and you will start to see you can make money online.

Affiliate Marketing Mistake #1

No Attempt To Pre-Sell Their Product

Most affiliate marketers tend to think that visitors are just going to click on their affiliate links for the sake of clicking.

Think about it for a minute, why would they do that? What would possess them to click your link with all the other links available to them? The affiliate marketer’s job is to pre-sell the product or service which involves more than just an affiliate link.

Do you click affiliate links and join programs without seeing the features and benefits the affiliate program offers? Well neither do other affiliate marketers. So be sure you include the benefits that will pre-sell your visitors.

Affiliate Marketing Mistake #2

You Can’t Be Found If You’re Not Listed

New affiliate marketers think organic traffic from search engines just happens. News Flash: “It Doesn’t”

Organic traffic from search engines is earned by using keyword phrases that people actually type in a search engine search box to find similar products and services to what you are selling. If you are not listed in any search engines you can not receive any of that organic search engine target traffic. Plain and simple.

A search engine optimization campaign can do wonders but it still won’t work magic unless you get your site listed and listed for the terms people really use.

It’s kinda like not being found in the phone book because you never put in a listing when you moved into town.

Affiliate Marketing Mistake #3

Not Learning Affiliate Marketing Strategies

I see this all the time. A new marketer finds a product, puts up an affiliate page that is identical to ten thousand others. Then they find someone else’s article and publish it expecting the money to start rolling in by the next morning.

Slow down.

Take the time to learn what an affiliate program is.

Study a few affiliate marketing strategies. Start with the one you are most comfortable with as long as it is proven to work and then apply those strategies. Follow the steps completely as this is where a lot of marketers miss the boat. They assume that leaving this one step out will not affect the outcome.

Affiliate Marketing Mistake #4

Checking Stats On Sales But Do Nothing To Increase Them

Statistics are available to help you succeed but they are not much good if you don’t study your campaign’s performance. Every time a new affiliate marketer logs online the check their earnings and wonder where they could be but they don’t take the time to find out why they are not earning yet. They just don’t know which aspects of their campaigns need improving.

It is important to study every avenue of your marketing strategies so you are getting as much traffic from as many different areas as you can, remembering to stay within your niche of course. If you have a conversion rate of 1% you need to get a hundred people per action and that action may only earn you a few cents so you need thousands of visitor not just hundreds.

Affiliate Marketing Mistake #5

Trying To Sell Products That Don’t Sell

Jumping into the first affiliate program which may not have a product that doesn’t sells well at all. You can put in as much energy as you want and you still won’t sell it or if you do sell a lot of refunds are requested. So even if you are offered 90% as commission you won’t make any money.

Slow down and look for an affiliate program that actually sells a great product.

If you are selling digital products you can go to Clickbank.com and look through their marketplace. The Clickbank Marketplace has thousands of products. You do need to understand how to find the best products so here is where you can learn about how to find the best products on Clickbank Marketplace.

I personally use CB Engine to find the best digital products. I can also create Adsense looking adblocks with clickbank products for my blogs.

Affiliate Marketing Mistake #6

Not Investing Time Doing Research

Failing to take the required time and research to find an affiliate program with a proven track record of satisfied customers. Credibility is a huge factor and if something just doesn’t seem credible you aren’t going to make many sales.

Affiliate program owners need to take the time to build a reputation and you don’t need to wait for it to happen, instead find an affiliate program where credibility is already established.

Affiliate Marketing Mistake #7

Not Keeping Up With What’s Happen In Their Niche

Failing to keep abreast with the latest developments in the industry. There will come a time when the marketing knowledge we know would become obsolete, more so in the field of internet marketing where everything transpires at a rapid pace. You have to constantly update yourself with the newest trends, techniques and news in this field to always keep your competitive edge.

Failing to invest in knowledge. Knowledge likewise evolves and you have to evolve with it. Buy noteworthy eBooks, special reports and the likes… those which would teach you the latest tactics to help you conquer your field.

Affiliate Marketing Mistake #8

Thinking Get Rich Quick

Believing that affiliate marketing is a “get rich quick” scheme. It is not. You have to invest a certain level of commitment, a lot of time, some financial resources on occasions, and a whole lot of effort if you want to truly realize the many wonderful things that this field does promise.

Anyone with an ecommerce site is looking for ways to get more Internet traffic. This is something that has been a problem since these types of sites first started up, and they continue to look for new ways to draw people to their sites. Some don’t even have to sell anything to make money, but the best money is indeed in selling something. Some of these sites don’t sell products, but they do have ad space that is affected by how many people come and view those ads, and sometimes a resulting sale, through a link, also means money for them.

One way to get good Internet traffic is to advertise all over the Internet. Some do this with banner ads. Pop up ads used to be the preferred method, but now that so many have pop up blockers on their computers, these are just not as affective as they use to be. Some people are so annoyed with pop ups that they refuse to visit a site that uses them for advertisement. I would imagine that if someone is really interested in what they see, this type of advertisement would indeed generate some Internet traffic, but there are better ways to go about it that might bring in much larger numbers.

Besides straight forward advertising, one of the most popular and affective ways to get Internet traffic to a site is by being sure that the site will rank high on a search engine like Google. There are many search engines online, but this is the one that seems to have the most users. However, others have pull too, so a good site will find ways to rank high on each one so that they can pull in Internet traffic. Most do this by making sure they have content that is read and recognized by the search engines, and that also has good keyword density.

If you find that you are not getting the Internet traffic that you think you should be getting, you may want to turn to someone who specializes in building and maintaining sites online for help. They know the tricks of the trade, and they can tell you why your Internet traffic might be low, and what you can do to improve it. Also remember that it often takes time for new sites to take off, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t see great numbers right off the bat. Give it a some time before you start to worry.

What Does Web Marketing Mean To You?

When most people think about web marketing, they usually imagine big commercial enterprises. Perhaps their first association is SEO (search engine optimization), e-mail marketing software, or web banners. Web marketing, however, is much more than this. No matter what project you are involved in, a little bit of web savviness can give you the exposure that you need to succeed.

Although I have worked in the Web marketing business for the past few years, I really cut my teeth in the music industry. I was working as a promoter for a small independent band, and our resources were extremely limited. Although we had a big local following, we were unable to bust out of the Portland music scene.

Our Internet marketing started where most small bands start: on MySpace. A lot of people are skeptical, but it is amazing how effective a tool is to connect you with your fans. The problem is that it doesn’t go beyond that. It is a great way to get people who already know you to come out to your shows, but not as good a way to gain new fans. That is where Web marketing comes in handy.

One of my favorite techniques in Web marketing at that time was starting word-of-mouth campaigns. Although a lot of people look down on it, many secretly do it anyway. By posting on bulletin boards, placing ads on Craigslist, getting colleagues to link to your band’s website, and generally creating enough buzz around your local music scene, you can really get people to check out your band. Although this can be a very involved process for a professional Web marketer, in the Independent music scene, it is comparatively easy. The fact is the many bands occupy niches that haven’t been fully capitalized on, at least as far as the Internet goes. Getting high ranking for searches related to your local music scene is easier than you might think.

Article marketing as part of your web marketing.

No matter what industry you’re in, creating smart, keyword optimized, and intelligent articles is a big part of web marketing. Writing has always been my strong point, and so I was able to get really high ranking whenever anyone did searches on the local venues that the band played in That meant that, come Saturday night when people were looking for a show to go to in the neighborhood, they would usually come across references to our band even if we weren’t playing that particular venue they were looking at on that day.

XSitePro is NOW my editor of choice but it wasn’t even a thought when I first started designing web sites for students and clients. I started coding HTML web pages in the 90’s before I even had web design software.

I tried a few HTML editors which all had a pretty steep learning curve, which as a teacher, I didn’t mind. Teaching others how to use the tools was not so easy, well not until I heard about this new package produced by Paul Smithson that was designed for beginners on up.

I not only create web sites for clients and friends I am also a teacher and wanted a software package that would make teaching web design a breeze. XSitePro makes web design tasks so much easier to do and understand than any other package I have seen.

I like videos far more than I like reading. I spend hours each day reading and learning but if I have a choice I will pick a video, as long as the quality is acceptable, every time. Check out this short but informative 6 minute XSitePro Video.

Learn just how little you need to know about web site design and HTML to look like a pro with XSitePro:

The main difference between buying ebooks to learn more and buying ebooks with reseller rights to learn more but also to earn more money online. If you buy an ebooks without resale rights you will only make money online by applying the strategies you learn from the content. That is great but you are leaving money out of your pocket by not buying your ebooks with reseller rights.

So what I suggest is that you take your time looking for information that will improve you bottom line but be sure you make the purchase that includes the right to resell the product. There will be a difference in the cost. I have purchased ebooks without resell rights for as little as 5 cents but would have only paid 20 bucks for reseller rights. In the cases that I chose to purchase only the ebooks I didn’t want to promote them, well not at that time.

eBooks with reseller rights are easy to create. There are a few ways to make money with reseller rights on your products.

1. If you are skilled in an area of interest you can write a helpful information product and sell it as an ebook with reseller rights. You can charge more than if you were just to sell your information products for reading purposes only. By selling ebooks with reseller rights you give the buyer the opportunity to earn from your work.

2. Affiliate marketing. You can promote other people’s work through ebooks with reseller rights and earn a commission as an affiliate.

3. Private Label Rights Products. Here others have written content as articles and ebooks but the difference here is that when you purchase PLR or private label rights products you can resell them as your own. When I buy private label rights ebooks with the purpose of making them into ebooks with reseller rights I take the time to modify the content so that I make it my own. Nothing bugs me more than to buy a product to find it is exactly the same as another with only the name changed. I find that a little dirty and lazy. Don’t do this.

The time it takes to create a product from scratch may not be in the cards for you yet because of the time required. That is where private label rights products can make you great money online. Make a new ebook cover, change the content and even add to it so that it is uniquely yours and then put your name on it.

Ebooks with reseller rights can be your ticket to all the wealth you desire and it only takes a bit of planning, a little investment of your money and time. Take a minute and checkout my Private Label Rights site and get the online income ball rolling.
