To begin with I have been a teacher for more than 20 years. I have read a lot of training material online and get very disappointed in the lack of quality material in an affordable range for most beginners. Quite often I am left confused, frustrated and ready to ask for a refund. Not so with Affilorama, but that is my humble opinion, read on and you can be the judge.

Internet marketing is an on going project for me and everyone that is making or wants to make money online. Any tool that will help me gather information as quickly as possible has my attention, as long as it is on the up and up. Well I had a toolbar that rocked but my good friend Robert C. It’s amazing how much more web site traffic I get since switching from static pages to blog posts. Create a blog and start making helpful posts and you will be blogging for profit in no time at all. Even though you can get more books and find more things at an online book store, I still prefer to go to a real store when I have the chance. I like to wander up and down the aisles looking at everything they have to offer. Perhaps this is just something that I like to do, but I notice there are a lot of people doing the same thing that I do. Another great thing about the online book store is that you may order a things that you may have seen on your trip to a local book store, but did not purchase when you were there. If you already know what you want, but have yet to pick it up, and online book store is the perfect place to get it. There are many things that parents can do when it comes to Internet safety, but sadly, many do not take advantage of it. If a child were standing out in the middle of a public place shouting out their personal information to iffy people, and having intimate conversations with anyone who came along, a parent would surely be upset and make them stop. The Internet is basically the same thing, but parents don’t think that this is as dangerous. Though it’s not in a way, in another way it even more so.

There are many software tools that parents can use for Internet safety, but that is only half of the battle. Teenagers should never have access to a computer in their room when no one can see what they are doing. Though this might be the easy way to do things, no one can keep an eye on them when they are locked away in their room. To have proper Internet safety, parents have to be able to see what is going on at all times.

There are certain codes that teens use to warn the person they are talking to that a parent is in the room. If you see your child type initials and then stop typing all together, they may be talking to someone they don’t want parents to know about. However, they may also be talking to a friend and they might just be talking about something they don’t want parents to hear. This might be harmless, but it might not be. Though your child may freak out when you talk about Internet safety as you read though some of their stuff, it is your job to protect them, not be their best buddy.

Another way to keep track if Internet safety issues is to make sure each computer has an admin account that is locked with a password. That should be used to visit the history of the computer to see where the child or children are going when they are online. You may not want to dig in when they are having an obviously innocent conversation with someone you both know, or that they know from school, but you do have a right to know where they go online. It is also a great idea to put a filter on any computer to keep them from the sites that you don’t want anyone to visit.

Like most people these days, I depend on the Internet for a large portion of my entertainment, education, and communication. Nonetheless, there has always been a schism between my Internet life and my intellectual life. On the one hand, I love to read books online, but on the other hand most of the classic and important literature that I read is in printed copies. I don’t know whether it is because I have grown up with books, or because there is something more appealing about the format, but so far nothing has replaced the comfort of being able to hold a book in my hands and peruse it at my leisure. There is one big difference, however. Digital audio books have become much more convenient and much more portable.

Whether you read Stephen King books or classic audio books, digital books promise features that previous generations didn’t have. First of all, you can take digital audiobooks anywhere with you. You can download books online, saving them on your iPod so that they can come with you on the go. That way, instead of just having one with you, you can have as many as you want at any time. Modern iPods can store Dozens of books, if not hundreds. Even more portable are the self playing digital audiobooks that are only now starting to come out on the market. You simply pick up the book, plug your headphones into it, and press play. They are tiny little volumes powered by a microchip that contains all of the digital information.

What is so neat about digital audiobooks is how much control you have over them. In the age of casette tapes, you had to fast-forward and rewind to find your way to a specific part. Nowadays, you can move to any point in the digital audio book with the click of a button. This makes them almost as easy to thumb through as printed books!
