It really comes down to what you know. If you have a skill that others wish they had use that to make money online. I was a computer instructor for more than 20 years and in that time I always had new things to teach my students which proves anyone can do.

If you don’t feel that you are skilled enough then starting today learn something new about your skill every day and in no time you will have all the knowledge you need to make money online.

People want problems solved for them. They don’t want to spend any more time than they need to in order to get a problem solved. That’s where your knowledge comes in. Solve their problems and earn while you do.

Get it right and you will see your website traffic jump and then as your viral products starts to infect the minds of those that download it you will start to see website traffic to the sites you promote from your viral product.

I have a number of friends that I just don’t see to be able to get through to. They have jobs they hate but they won’t take a path that will lead them to making money online. They make money, enough to pay their bills, most of the time, but instead of starting an online business to make money online they just bitch about how they hate their jobs.

They know I make money online but because I spent so long finding the way to do it they think they have to go the same route.

If I were to tell you that ordinary people can make extraordinary income IF they just take the time to learn how would you doubt me? Well I know it’s a fact so it’s my job now to show you that you can do it.

Get the process right and it’s like turning on a faucet. Don’t think that only certain people can turn on the faucet because the faucet doesn’t care WHO turns it on, but remember that it doesn’t even care if anyone EVER turns it on.

When anyone, and I mean ANYONE, turns that faucet handle the correct way water POURS out.

Why should making money online be any different?

I spent a long time finding the faucet but then moving on to something else before turning on the faucet. It really comes down to doing what it takes (turn on the faucet) and watch the money pour out.

My original mindset was, “But it CAN’T be that easy, or EVERYONE would be doing it!”

All I can say now is…

Really?

Change your mindset like I did and realize that once you know the path to the faucet you can be unstoppable.

I personally believe that we TALK ourselves into poverty. I spent years letting myself believe I couldn’t do any better and was just kinda stuck where I was and didn’t see a way out.

No one has TOLD us how to turn on that faucet, and if they have, we haven’t HEARD them because we’re too busy listening to that voice in our head that says it’s for everyone esle but me.

I just want to grab a few of my friends and tell that whatever their reasons for settling for the life they have right now, just BLOW IT UP!

Set it on fire. Burn it. Write it down and crumple it up and throw it away. Run over it with your car. Bury it so deep the dog can’t dig it up.

At our church we hear stinkin’ thinkin’ or toxic talk and we try hard to keep those thoughts out of our minds. Life just gets better when you start thinking positive. You can do it…

That was the perfect time to get him started online but he was convinced that he couldn’t do it and how much he hated computers. Well in his job he has to use a computer all day long. Then he met the girl of his dreams and now both of them know they can’t make money online, yet they haven’t even given it a 5 minute try. Oh man, how our minds can put us into a rut.

I spent a lot of years SETTLING, like my friends and maybe today I would still be SETTLING if my work situation hadn’t gotten out of control and I quit my day job. I swore never to work for another and stuck to my guns, even though at the time I had not learned how to turn that faucet on yet.

I love my Wordpress and have a number of blogs setup using Fantasitco from my cPanel. I use HostGator for most of my accounts as it has Fantastico. When I create a blog it takes seconds instead of getting the script elsewhere, then uploading and then installing. HostGator just makes my life easier.

Wordpress Plugins

I am also one that tends to love plugins. Sometimes my ‘the more the merrier’ attitude causes my blogs to bog down and run slowly, which will turn off a lot of speed surfers.

So if your goal is to make money online but you have so many plugins that your site won’t load fast enough you most likely losing money.

I went through this blogs plugin list, which I haven’t checked in months and found that I had a few plugins that really weren’t necessary so I started removing them.

I was careful to keep two windows open. One with the Admin area open to the Plugin section and the second window open with my blog loaded so I could check to see how my site loads after deactivating each plugin.

Next, once I saw my pages load correctly was to delete that plugin from the plugin folder.

I did this for every single plugin. I also kept a copy of each plugin so that if for any reason I needed it again I still have it and don’t need to search the web for them again.

After about an hour of removing plugins and testing my pages I realized I had removed 18 plugins that weren’t really necessary for my blog’s optimization.

(Right hand raised) I swear to do better in the future.

I do have to pay more attention to the plugins I install. Do they do the task well or are should I just remove them instead of forgetting about them.

Offering someone a bonus as a reward for a job well done is a great way to show gratitude and can also serve as an excellent motivator. A great way to apply this concept is to an affiliate program and there are many different ways in which to do so.

The first thing that may come to mind is offering a cash prize for a high amount of sales, but try to think outside the box and think of a few “little” things that have personal value.

For example, send a card to an affiliate when they make their first sale. Sending out cards and handwritten notes is almost a lost art form in today’s world of emails and ecards. Affiliates won’t expect to receive anything in the postal mail. They will be flattered that you took the time out to recognize their efforts and more than likely it will also motivate them to sell more items.

Adding a standard bonus level to an affiliate program is another way to motivate affiliates. This helps to provide them a regular goal to strive for. For instance, if the normal rate for affiliate referrals is 40% commission, offer to raise that to 50% once an affiliate sells a certain dollar amount or number of products in a given month.

Another idea is to send gift cards to top-earning affiliates. Ask ahead of time what their favorite restaurant or store is and purchase a card they will enjoy or simply surprise them by sending a gift card of choice. Certificates of achievement in a frame are also a great gift that you can send in the mail or increase their recognition by recognizing them as a top affiliate in an affiliate newsletter or special email.

For those wanting to offer these bonuses but don’t have a large budget, try finding someone who can give a discount on their services or barter exchange with someone to help you reach your goal.

By offering these bonuses and incentives, you are letting affiliates know they are appreciated. This will help increase their loyalty. When given the choice of promoting one of your products or a similar product offered by a competitor, the extra mile you took to acknowledge them just might make a difference.

This may also cause your affiliates will keep trying to break their own sales records. They may enjoy the bonuses so much, they will keep working harder and harder to earn them.

Good affiliates work hard to get customers for the companies they represent so they can make money online. They write articles, optimize their websites and spend money on pay per click campaigns. Even if those who follow their affiliate links don’t act right away, they deserve to get credit for the sale or lead if that person comes back at a later date. Unfortunately some affiliate programs don’t allow for that.

Using affiliate software that utilizes cookies is essential if you want to make sure that your affiliates get credit for all sales that they generate. With cookies, visitors who find the site through an affiliate’s link “belong” to that affiliate for a specified amount of time. If they come back in that time frame, the sale or lead will be credited to the affiliate who introduced them to the site in the first place.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are text files that are sent to a visitor’s computer when they visit a website. They contain information about their usage of the site that can be used to identify them when they return. This information can also be used to customize pages to their liking based on previous usage.

In affiliate programs, cookies are used to identify which affiliate referred a site visitor. Cookies can be set to expire after a certain period of time or they can be set to never expire. As long as the cookie is present, the affiliate will get credit for future sales or leads from that person.

What If a Visitor Doesn’t Accept Cookies?

If a visitor has set their browser to reject cookies, the affiliate will not be able to get credit for future sales. Cookies are quite common and they allow users to do things like customize pages on certain websites and use certain shopping cart software. Most users do not block cookies.

Users can also delete cookies, but that doesn’t happen very often either. Most browsers limit the number of cookies that are stored on a user’s computer. If that number is exceeded, the cookie that has gone unused for the longest period of time is deleted. This eliminates the need to manually delete cookies.

Why Are Cookies Necessary?

If visitors to an affiliate’s site follow a link to a site and plan to return to it later, they will probably bookmark it so that they can come back to it directly instead of going back through the affiliate’s site. Affiliate links usually redirect to a page on your site so that bookmark will point to a page that does not identify the affiliate who referred the visitor. Without a cookie, the affiliate will not get credit for the sale or lead.

Cookies are important to affiliate programs because they allow affiliates to get credit for each sale or lead they generate. That results in more money for them, and more money means happy affiliates. An affiliate who is happy with your program will promote it actively, resulting in more sales for you and more commissions for them.
