Wordle Cloud of the Internet Marketing Blog - ...

The very idea of Internet online marketing advertising business sounds complex and impressive, but it is just a matter of appearance resulting from the combination of two crucial elements to Internet businesses: advertising and marketing.

These two are in fact the pillars that make a business run online: when you fail with the marketing, the advertising won’t go too well either. The same situation becomes obvious the other way round, when a good job is done for both marketing and advertising.

At present one doesn’t have to be an expert to deal with such issues: just contract an Internet online marketing advertising business to cover all the aspects of web development.

The challenges one is up against for the matter include not only Internet advertising, but search engine optimization, online marketing campaigns, web site traffic optimization, search engine visibility growth and so on. When a web site that promotes a certain service or product manages to increase relevant traffic while reducing the number of random visitors, this means that positive development has been achieved for the business. The methods to achieve each and every of the above mentioned objectives are manifold and they could differ with different marketing agencies.

Any Internet online marketing advertising business depends on the competence of advertising and marketing specialists. Only a team of professionals can envisage the marketing plan to create various search engine strategies meant to position the client-company as high as possible in search engine rankings. It thus becomes relevant that well combined marketing and advertising principles will increase the number of well-targeted visitors. One should know how to approach a client in order to be able to sell and this is the down-to-fact translation of marketing into advertising.

Other relevant aspect that reflects this interdependence can be identified in the exact steps taken in the direction of web site promotion. Thus, online press releases, posting ads on blogs, creating periodical newsletters, maintaining client relations, optimizing site content with key phrases, all these make the advertising means of promoting a business while relying on all the marketing strategies that keep a customer’s interest vivid in a certain product. A good Internet online marketing advertising business will do this and a lot more for the adequate business growth that keeps things running. Yet, it is important to stress out the fact that the web developer has to take an active part to the analysis and monitoring process all the time in order to really stay in charge of the company’s development.

The Don’ts of Internet Marketing

Regine with WE MAKE MONEY NOT ART

If you’re just starting on your goal to start a small business online or make money blogging, then you’re luckier than you think. True, a spike in the number of online enterprises and money-making blogs has also encouraged a fiercer sense of competition between entrepreneurs. What works to your advantage, however, is the fact that there’s a lot of information now on how you can earn money from your site. Advice is all over the place, as are tutorials and instructional manuals on how you can put up your online store or start blogging for money.

A basic piece of advice that you’ll encounter is one that encourages you to make a blueprint for your online marketing strategy. If you’re no stranger to blogging for profit, you would know by now that a good internet marketing strategy is indispensable when it comes to earning money from your site. In other words, this means that you have to look for a method that can effectively promote your products and services through your blog or website.

What a lot of neophytes are unaware of, however, is the fact that not all internet marketing strategies will work for their benefit. Sometimes, however, you might fall for bad marketing advice, and end up using some very unsound strategies that can undermine your efforts to make money blogging. Are you also committing these internet marketing blunders? Read on to find out what you should NOT do if you want to launch a successful promotional campaign for your blog:

1. Building a website that’s great to look at – but takes ages to load:

It’s good to put effort into your blog’s appearance, to make it as attractive as possible to create a favorable impression on your visitors. What won’t work, however, is a blog design that takes forever to load on the screen, or a site that’s bogged down by too many high-end applications. Take into account the fact that nobody wants to wait too long, especially if it’s just a web page that could’ve loaded in a second or two. Ultimately, a gorgeous site that takes too much time to load is just as bad as an ugly template. Both of them make your readers feel like you’re wasting their time, and they’ll just end up moving on to other blogs where they can get what they want in a few seconds.

2. Expending minimal effort at keyword research:

Some bloggers and online businesspeople think that keyword research stops at finding out which search terms get the most number of hits on Google. Sure, these are all part of the whole package. But have you actually come up with a keyword research system that will really make your site earn money?

Don’t just stop at looking up keyword rankings and finding out how many people, on average, are using the search terms, “how to lose weight”. Instead, you should also watch the activity behind each keyword you put up strategically on your site: which keywords actually fetch you the most number of visits? Of these keywords, which ones actually end up with a sign-up or a sale? You should start a process for keyword research that’s more organized and more relevant in its thrust.

3. Scratching just the surface of your web stats:

Okay, so you already have Google Analytics tracking the activity on your site. It’s been running for a good while now, gathering a lot of useful data that you can use to boost your blog’s earnings. But are you really making the most out of your analytics tool? Most bloggers just look at how many people are going to their site, taking note of how much time their visitors are spending on which web page, et cetera. These things, however, are nothing but surface detail, and focusing on them alone won’t help your blog earn more money.

A better course of action would be to trace the roots of your traffic and see where your visitors are coming from. Are they coming from search engines? Which keywords are bringing your visitors to your site? Maybe your e-mail campaign is hauling all your visitors in? Whatever it is, make sure that you know where your visitors are coming from so you know where your blog should go.

But remember: there’s no use coming up with a great marketing campaign if your product is found to be inferior. Your best advertisement still lies in your product itself. No matter how good your promotional tactics are, a bad product will never sustain a profit for long. A good, reliable product will make its own waves when it’s introduced properly to its target market. So don’t think twice about shaping up your blog. Come up with an effective marketing strategy that will ensure the success of your site, and you’re good to go.

The Man Behind Site Build It Review

Site Build It Review

Very rarely will an online marketer have a bizarre history like Ken Evoy. Most online gurus come from the fields of marketing or sales offline. The man behind site build it and CEO of Sitesell inc was actually a fully trained doctor. This history does not take anything away from his online credentials.

Born in Montreal, Canada, Evoy was a successful physician after graduating from McGill University with honors. Along with two other doctors, he trained a staff of two-hundred for Montreal’s emergency medical service. This led to service in the emergency medicine departments of two large hospitals in the city.

Evoy has treaded a very unusual journey from successful physician to toy maker extroadinaire in Canada, achieving great success in both fields. In the late 80s and 90s his toy company was producing internationally recognised toys to markets all over the world.

Whilst maybe not the most famous person on the planet Evoy is a sensation in the internet marketing field. A Simple Site Build It Review shows this. His Site Build It webbased solutions for the average man has seen thousands and thousands of regular people create great and profitable businesses.

Evoy has great skills in inspiring people, maybe this stems from his work at the hospitals. You should check out his site to see his enthusiam for helping others and his product.

Ken is also a family man evidenced by his daughter actually using Site Build it to fund herself through university.

Despite the success of Site Build It, Evoy is also a great author with some marketing best sellers. Most notable of his books is Make Your Site Sell, which certainly sold as a book and made a lot of people adjust their mindsets concerning their websites.

With all these ventures, you’d think that he would take it easy. But Ken Evoy still gives a few days a week to practicing medicine, which only goes to show that a man who can be trusted with your life can be trusted with your business.

Ebooks Are Your Opportunity To Learn And Earn

Clickbank Marketplace for your digital productsGetting books that are digital so that I can read them online and get instant delivery have helped me learn so much over the years since I started my online business.

I have read a lot of ebooks since 2001.

I find them a great way to learn more about just about anything. eBooks are the perfect way to learn about a new niche or more about your existing hobbies and interests.

I use eBooks to learn more but I don’t usually get just any ebooks.

When I am looking to learn something new I purchase ebooks with reseller rights, also known as resell rights or resale rights. Why??

They give me the knowledge I am looking for and the opportunity to sell the same digital product to others looking for the same information. I think it’s definitely a win-win situation.

The first place I look for ebooks is at ClickbanK Marketplace as they seem to have about the best selection for a lot of niches. They also have thousands and thousands of affiliates that could be selling your ebooks if you took a little time to create them.

I used to get so frustrated on the Clickbank site when looking for specific information but then I found a site called CBengine and finding info about the Clickbank products I want is just so much easier and faster and time is money, isn’t it.

Articles Are The Easy Way To Higher Ranking

The village green in Burnham Market. For more ...
Image via Wikipedia

Article marketing is probably one of the easier ways to get ranking for your web sites in the major search engines.  More importantly, it’s totally above board when done right and you dont have to worry about getting blacklisted.

Unfortunately article marketing is often avoided because of the additional perceived “work” involved.  Get over it and start writing about what you know. The time you spend now will pay off for years to come, if you focus while writing.

Focus: Stay on Topic

My first rule in article marketing is to stick to topics I am familiar with. It just makes it so mucgh easier.

Smart people will stick to things they know when starting their first sites, it just makes succeeding so much easier, but not every one does that, do they.

Of course once you get your feet wet in marketing you can learn what you need to know for new markets.

Just start reading up on the niche you’re interested in and in no time you will be writing useful and helpful articles.

In addition to the above, make sure you write in a simple to understand style.  Fancy words are wasted on most people and just turns them away, especially if they make them feel stupid.

Stay Away From Duplicate Content

A second rule, and very important, is to make sure you can rewrite your article easily so you can publish them in more than one place with duplicate content.  Why??

Well the major search engines have the ability to spot duplicate content and quite willing to penalize you for it. I have been hit more than once because I slacked off on being unique.

There are software tools that can help you rewrite your article, BUT do not let them automatically do it for you or you just might end up with an article that reads like a four year old wrote.

One of the best tools I have ever used for rewriting exists at My Article Network. You can easily rewrite articles up to 1000%++ (each sentence has 10 alternates + other stuff) and distribute them on up to 10,000 blogs.

Limit Your Backlinks And Make Them Relevant

A third rule is to limit the back links.  Most article directories limit you anyway but outside of that you can post on blogs and elsewhere with as many links as you want. Use common sense here again, the search engines are much smarter than that now.

If one link is good, 100 is not better.  In general, dont use more than 1 link per 200 words or so.  In addition, you want to be consistent with your keyword links to get benefit.  Do not try to master 20 keywords at once by linking different ones each time.  You need some repetition to get any ranking boost at all.Concentrate only on a few keywords in the beginning and move your rank up on those.Once you achieve ranking on page 1 or 2 on Google, then you can move on to other words to broaden the base.

A last rule to remember is that repetition not only keeps it going, it makes it work. For the first month or 2, you really need to post a new article for distribution every 2-3 days.  Even after you get higher ranking, you still need to pump in some linked articles at least once a week to keep it fresh.  The search engines look at the date of the posts that have the link – over time they decay the value of those links if they see nothing new coming in.  Get accounts at all the major article networks like Ezine – they are very highly ranked in Google and others, so make sure you distribute to them as well.

Done properly, article marketing can be a central hub to other stuff you do to boost your overall site ranking and visibility.

How To Create A Wordpress Blog

Category:Wikipedians who use WordPress
Image via Wikipedia

Creating a Wordpress blog is perhaps one of the easiest things you can do.Even if you are a technical dunce, which many of us are, you can install it in under a minute with Fantastico.

It is the best and most flexible piece of software you can use to make money blogging. There are many free blog platforms you could use, but you have no control at all over your data. You are never quite sure if you will wake up to find your blog deleted for some reason or another.

Plus, if you are building your own Wordpress blog on your own webspace you are building valuable virtual real estate. In the future you may decide to sell your blog and earn from that too.

You can buy some Wordpress Tutorials to help you understand the inner workings of Wordpress.  A program such as Wordpress Demystified is an excellent choice, being probably the most comprehensive program on the market.

It is surprisingly simple to then monetize your blog with Adsense and other revenue streams. Not everyone wants to use Adsense ads – there are other contextual advertising networks you could use.

Through testing of your ad units, you will be able to improve your click through rate and hence your earnings! The more testing you do, the more you will be able to earn.Placing your ads in the right place can make a big difference to how much you earn from them!

Once this is complete it is time to turn your attention to getting visitors to your website. When you have got your blog earning you can move on the next, and then the next, and so on.

With a bit of practise you can create a Wordpress blog in under half an hour.  Then regularly adding content and driving traffic you can quickly create your own money making empire.

Working From Home Is The Best Move I’ve Made

the joys of working from home
Image by Ben McLeod via Flickr

There are lots of work at home moms (WAHM) but there are also a lot of work at home dads out there having a blast online and I am one of them. Soon my wife will be working from home as well.

That’s when our travel blog really begins.

There are many work at home ideas that will get one started making money online. You can start part time like a lot of people do and build up your online income to the point you could actually quit your day job.

I was a computer instructor for many years and left my day job to work from home as a web designer. That eventually gave way to internet marketing although I still do some web design for friends and family that want a web presence.

If you have absolutely zero hobbies and interests you can still make money online but in my opinion marketing online is much more enjoyable when you are doing something love or at least really enjoy.

What Do You Love To Do Most?

My experience has taught me that people who do things they love are happier and get far more done. I know I do.

When I am doing something that involves fishing I am happy and usually have a big smile on my face. Or when I am out in my backyard vegetable garden I will most likely be whistling. Doing things I love just makes me happier than doing things I don’t love to do.

So you are not likely to be surprised when I tell you I make my living online talking about fishing and gardening. Of course I didn’t stop there I have other hobbies and interest that make me money as well.

When you can share info that others want to know you may just have a winner on your hands.

Even though we don’t get to travel as much as we like to I decided to start a travel web site. We do plan to do a lot of traveling after my wife retires from her job and I thought I would be good to start a site now.

I make hundreds of dollars a month just from my travel site and have never written a single post of my own yet, and it’s been more than 3 years now.

I use all free, private label rights articles that I don’t even modify and I earn money.

I open a web site I belong to and click a button to post a link to my travel site every few days. I like to put up at least 3 articles a week and all that hard work takes no more than 3 minutes to do.

Affiliate Marketing / Affiliate Programs

I make most of my money online through affiliate programs or affiliate marketing.

When you decide to work from home make a list of all your hobbies and interests and see if there is something there you can earn doing. I like to find affiliate programs that will pay me to promote products and services

I would have to say the best part of working from home for me personally is the flexibility I have to come and go as I please. I just don’t abuse the privilige.

NOTE: Don’t just jump into internet marketing, do a little research on the niche or market you choose so that you know there is money to be made and there is room for you in that market.

You’re asking why Squidoo? Well, since they launched the site has been an absolute Internet marketing phenomena.

Squidoo is a favorite of Google and it’s absolutely free!

It’s one of the easiest ways to gain more web traffic, thus getting you to the top of the rankings for long tail keyword, quickly and with the minimum of effort. However, it is a good idea to do a little more than just put a page up, so here are my top 10 Squidoo Marketing Tips:

1. Always create your Squidoo page with the keyword as your title.

2. Make sure your content is keyword focused. It is a good idea to keep adding fresh content on a regular basis. (But as always, be cognizant of your return on the time invested. It is no good spending hours dominating the search engines for a phase like
‘left handed basket weaving’. Sure you’ll be number 1, however, I’m sure no one would care.

3. Always remember, as top seo services always say,: the higher your ranking in your Squidoo category then the higher your rank will be in Google. (That same principle is being used by Google more and more, for example, videos have to become popular FIRST before being ranked in Google).

4. When submitting articles to the directories, always make sure one of the hyperlinks in your resource box your SQuidoo URL, hyper linked with your targeted keyword.

5. We’ll be talking a lot more about Social Bookmarking in weeks to come b, however don’t forget to social bookmark your Squidoo lens too! Bumpzee is always a good place to start.

6. Think of your Squidoo lens as another one of your web-sites. So, for example, if you are using any other marketing technique, such as classified ads or forum posting, then don’t forget to include your Squidoo lens as one of the targets.

7. Study squidoo FAQs. You are going to find out just how to tweak the engine under the bonnet. For example, You can check about their Lens Ranks automated algorithm they use to rank the lenses. They look at community ratings, lensmaster reputation, click through rates, frequency of updates, inbound and outbound links, rev-enue generated, and many other factors and give the lens a number.

8. Hop over to the home page of squidoo. Study Squidoo marketing strategy to your heart’s content. Always check out the forums.

9. And while you’re there, make a comment (or six) and add your link to your signature.

10. You might have gathered by now that Squidooing is a whole science by itself. Always think that many people earn a living by using Squidoo.

Finally you often find the best marketing tips on how to promote a site on the site itself (after all, they have a vested interest).

Here’s the advice Squidoo give themselves:

{Email it. To your friends, your mom, your boss. Don’t be shy about bragging, you deserve a little limelight! Email it to your family, friends or even your boss. Don’t be shy about bragging as you deserve a little limelight}.

Blog it. Post your lens to your blog. Send a note to someone you admire who runs a blog on your topic, and ask them to check out your lens. Sincere flattery gets you everywhere..

Link it. Link to the lens on your Facebook page, LinkedIn profile, Flickr profile, eBay auctions, email signature.. Create your own little traffic network and get discovered in more places. Wouldn’t you like to get found more online?

Group it! Check out a Group that’s always talking about your topic and request to join. Get friendly, get relevant, get feedback, get found. Compete. Stop by the Lens of the Day Group for inspiration from winning lenses. And if your lens is up to snuff, enter it in the contest..

Focusing On The Riches In Niches

I have definitely had my ups and downs when it comes to internet marketing but I love and make my living at it. I just don’t make the living I could if I would put more effort into niche research.

In the past I have NOT spent much time on niche research. The reason, well I have a few hobbies and interests I enjoy and felt that was all I needed to make money from my blogs.

I do focus on the markets I spend money in. That wasn’t always the case but I eventually learn.

Make Even More Money After Proper Niche Research

I don’t make a lot of money each month with my individual web sites and blogs but together they add up to making a living online.

Over the past few weeks I have been following a course from ShoeMoney that is opening my eyes a little wider than usual. What I am finding is that I am leaving a ton of money out there that could be mine.

The way I do my online marketing takes a lot of my time but from what I am learning I could be doing a little more research, changing my focus slightly and making a lot more money in the process. That works for me, more time to enjoy my hobbies instead of sitting in my office writing about it.l

Well it’s time for me to spend more time enjoying my hobbies and interest instead of talking about them. So, I am digging into niche marketing a little deeper and doing some research on the niches I am already in to find more focus.

I tend to get a little general and instead of focusing on the fly rod or fly reel I like the most I just keep focusing on fishing. A little too general to make a lot of money.

Or focusing on gardening instead of an aspect of gardening like square foot gardening or container gardening.

Now back to learning more about market research that will save me time and earn me more money. Then it’s off for a well deserved weekend fishing trip.

Affiliate Marketing All The Way To The Bank

There are many ways to make money online but the least expensive way for me is to go with affiliate marketing.

One really cool thing about affiliate marketing products is the products you promote won’t cost you a thing. You just get your personal affiliate ID and start promoting them to make money.

Affiliate Networks

Personally I use more than just one affiliate network. The niches I take part in are not all covered by just one network so I use a variety of networks so that I cover all the niches I am currently in.

A few of the affiliate networks I belong to:

Those are my top affiliate networks but I belong to quite a few others because I still had niches that weren’t completely covered from my top 4 affiliate networks.

Affiliate Marketing is Very Affordable

I don’t like using free web sites for affiliate marketing so it does cost a bit to have my own web site and a place to host my domains.

Each domain I own I purchase from GoDaddy.com and they cost me about $10 a year for each keyworded domain.

I also have to host them somewhere and I prefer HostGator.com where I am currently paying $24.95 a month to host all my domains in one account.

Even paying for my domains and hosting doesn’t break the bank as it only comes out to about $300 for the entire year of hosting. And remember the domain is only $10 a year to renew it.

It still works out to less than a dollar a day.

The part I like the most I guess would be the fact that I am able to work from home and make my living online selling things I don’t even own. Now that is pretty cool isn’t it?
