I get a lot of questions from friends because I make money online, mostly from my hobbies, by the way. The main question is ‘Can my hobbies really help me make money online?’

Usually I will put them on the spot by asking them if they think that I make money from my hobbies just by luck. Then they get all wiggly in their chair because they thought they offended me or something. That’s the time I usually laugh outloud to help them relax.

Of course you can make money from you hobbies. There is really only one thing that’s a requirement, well at least I have found this to be true.

Don’t Try To Make Money From A Hobby You Do For Free

That may sound like it should go without saying but it has to be said. If I don’t spend money on a hobby who’s to say other will either, right. Stick with the hobbies that you don’t mind spending on.

Here a few sites that talk about making money with hobbies. Take the time to read them or at least scan them for helpful tips and tricks that will make it easier and faster to earn from your hobbies.

Once you read these sites I am sure you will want to create a blog about your favorite hobby and start making extra money.

1. How To Make Money From Hobbies.

I like Kate’s little quote: “While making money from a hobby might not be a key objective when starting out, there is no doubt that it helps fund what can sometimes be expensive activity.”

I agree with Kate’s quote. I started my first blog on hobbies just to share my experiences. It wasn’t until I had someone ask me if they could pay me to post on my blog. That got me thinking I could perhaps start advertising affiliate related things, so I did and the rest is history.

2. Making Money From Your Hobbies.

I liked this page and the header graphic is pretty cool as well.

I have always said that doing something you love as your job really is a job. Well it works for me. The more things I do based around hobbies I love the less it seems like work.

3. Profitable Hobbies Make Money From Your Hobby Online!

It’s important to know that not all hobbies are equal when it comes to making money online.

This is a pretty cool site. Make money from Sudoku. It’s not one of my hobbies but it certainly entertains my wife for hours on end. And guess what, she buys those little books all the time.

I found blogging easy until I decided to start making some money with. At that time I had to learn how to focus on the right keyword phrases before visitors started taking out their credit cards.

It took a fair amount of time because of the changes blogging has under gone over the past few years.

Even the expectation of my visitor has changed over the years, some times it seems like it’s day by day. So I have to keep up on the latest blogging news if I want to keep increasing my earnings.

Without a few tools to help me get things done faster and more efficiently I would have to work even harder. But it still beats getting up each day and commuting to a job outside the home.

Using Wordpress To Start Blogs Quickly.

When I have an idea for a new blog I want to start it quickly without headaches and over the years I have come to trust Wordpress mostly because it’s so easy and fast to setup, plus there are so many themes and plugins.

With Wordpress I can even copy the themes and plugins from one domain to another to make setting up even faster.

Wordpress has a blog editor that really satisfies me. I use Blogger.com for a few blogs but usually end up going back to Wordpress because it’s so feature filled and can be extended to do so much because of the plugins that I feel blogger.com has fallen behind.

Use The Power of RSS Feeds

I like to add RSS feeds from other related blogs so that I have more relevant content. It’s great to have relevant news without having to rewrite it, just use a RSS feed. I like to use RSS feeds to get more ideas about what to write about. RSS feeds just make it so easy to find new content.

Keep An Eye On Your Blog Stats

I like to view my blog stats regularily so that I can see where my traffic comes from and what keywords they used to find my blog.

I started blogging just to share my interests but soon realized I could blog and make money doing it. It’s just too cool to pass up. Here is the perfect tool for finding those money making niches, take a look at MicroNicheFinder.

Many Bloggers day-dream about earning extra money from blogging. A few years ago it was pretty easy but in todays world things are getting a little tougher and blogging for cash takes a bit more focused work.

Making Money Blogging Requires More Than Just Good Content

If there was a blogger who just couldn’t reach his million-dollar dream in spite of writing the best content in the world, there would only be two main factors.

A Lack of Patience And a Lack of Technique

Most of the time, bloggers are too impatient to wait for their blogs to accumulate traffic that they actually quit. This is for the reason that they can’t quite accept that to be known on the Internet , you have to be around for a long time. Of course, there are those that only came out a month ago and now they’re superstars.

But most probably, these bloggers have celebrities for friends or probably they’re already quite known in society prior to their blogging. But for regular people, this can’t ever be possible.

Rising to the top of the search engine rankings alone could take some time. This means for one to have a solid base of readership, one has to prove himself over time and slowly build the name of his blog. Technique has something to do with getting people to read a blog so advertisers actually appreciate being on that page. Some bloggers spend too much time writing new posts that they hardly notice if anybody has been reading at all.

The problem is, while one may have the best content and writing skills to write the best blog post ever, it’s not going to make money unless people know about it. Technique would thus mean knowing and applying the right search engine optimization skills and backlinking. These are two surefire ways of getting a blog out in the open sea of the Internet for readers to fish.

If you want to make money out of your blog, you have to make people see it and read it. You need to have traffic because if you don’t, you won’t earn commissions from those pay-per-click and affiliate ads you have. In other words, the more traffic your blog gets, the more possibility there is that those ads are going to get clicked and you actually start earning you commissions.

To earn money blogging, one has to build the traffic because only traffic clicks ads and makes sales. In other words, making money blogging is not just about writing good blogs. It’s about getting these blogs out to readers because it’s the readers who’ll make money for you.
