aweber-logoBack in 2003 I was contacted by a guy who wanted me to build his web site for him, we became good friends although we have never met in person.

His name is Bob and he’s a smart man who reads non-stop. I have learned a lot from Bob but have not always applied what I learned. Man my skull can be thick some times. I think I got that from my grandfather.

Anyways, Bob advised me years ago to collect names and emails instead of just making sales, but did I listen. Well I heard what he said but was too busy doing my own thing and just went on doing what I was doing.

I was never looking to make millions and in my mind people that collected names and emails were out to make millions and would probably being spamming those poor people. Was I on the wrong pathway of thinking or what?

I couldn’t begin to tell you how many people I let slide through my fingers. Even the ones that purchased from me were gone after the purchase. No back-end sales for me.

Well after learning more from The Affiliate Code video training I am now willing to admit I was wrong, so sorry Bob.

Start Building Your List of Niche Related Buyers NOW

Taking the time to setup an autoresponder and a series of follow ups takes time but it’s time that is well spent. I didn’t feel I needed to do that because I was making sales.

I use Aweber for all my autoresponder series now. It just makes good sense to save those people that are interested in what you have to offer, so collect those names and emails but make sure you keep them in the niche they signed up for so you aren’t spamming them.

Hind site is 20/20 they say and now I can see clearly just how much money I have flushed because of NOT collecting names and emails.

I really couldn’t begin to tell you how many people I have let slip through my fingers because I thought it was going to be too much work getting an autoresponder system up and running.

It took me about 3 minutes to sign-up to Aweber and I even got my first month for just $1.00. Setting up my autoresponder was an easy step by step process Aweber guided me through.

All the months and years I ignored autoresponders just because I was afraid I couldn’t do it. Sad isn’t it, well don’t be like that, it’s a whole lot easier than one might think.

No sense crying over spilt milk. I am just happy that I finally saw the light that is autoresponders and am now collecting names.

Maybe They Won’t Buy Today But…

This part is really cool. I have had far more people not buy from me as my conversion rate was only about 1-3% but now that I use forms and squeeze pages to collect names I am making far more money.

When I send my lists emails for products I am sending to lists where people actually requested to join the list so they are very targeted and that has done wonders for my conversion rate.

So, don’t do as I did but instead do as I say and get started collecting names and emails my friend and you can come back here and leave me a comment telling me how it’s working for you.

Get over to Aweber and check it out.

Controlling Your Own Search Engine Success

Search-Engine-Marketing

Having search engine success in your marketing efforts is huge. When you get top listing in search engines it can mean money to you, if you are there with a listing that people want to visit. That means you need to have a product people want first.

I can’t tell you how many times I have had the #1 position for a keyword phrase in Google only to find that no one and I mean zero people were interested. Why? Well I just neglected to do the proper research first.

So my first tip for search engine success is to research your niche properly right from the beginning and save your self some time and money.

It’s The First Page Or Bust

When I am writing content promoting things that make me money I don’t want to be listed anywhere other than the first page of Google. That is where I make the most money.

I have even made some money being located on the second page of search results but being any further down the list is likely to profit you zip.

The focus has to be getting on that first page of search engines. Why?

Well people are on average pretty lazy and once they look through the first page and they don’t find what they are looking for they would rather type in a new keyword phrase than bother looking on the second or third pages of the search results.

Spend Time on Unique Quality Content

It’s better to spend your time creating quality content that people want to read than it is writing poor quality fast and never hitting page one of the SERPs (search engine results page).

3 Steps to Search Engine Success is a new downloadable SEO EBook that shows you exactly how to increase your search engine ranking, get more traffic to your website, and compete in the hottest markets effortlessly by giving you a complete “cheat sheet” to giving the search engines what they want – in just three easy steps!

Add Value When Adding A Blog Comment

SIERRA MADRE, CA - MAY 29: Seventieth anniver...

I have a real big pet peeve when it comes to blog comments. When I see a blog comment that really says nothing but has a link attached I get an itchy trigger finger that likes hitting the spam or delete button and I use it.

Really, what is the point of leaving a dumbass comment. If people are doing it just to try to get someone to link back to them or that they will get more site visitors then I think these people are a little nuts and wasting our time as I delete that crap as fast as I see them.

What is the purpose of comment on blogs?

In my books commenting is there to add value to the post. It is a great way to strike up a conversation with the author and other commentors. That’s just good for business.

When I get comments I don’t just accept them. I look at the comment and if it’s a worthy comment I then check to see if they keyworded the name field and then I look to see what the link is they left. If the link is not relevant I most likely will delete it.

However if the comment truly adds value, which means they took the time to read it and then comment I may keep it. That will depend on what site they have linked to. If the site is anything I don’t approve of the comment is deleted or at least the link is deleted.

What Will Get Your Comment Rejected?

  • Not Using Your Real Name: I do prefer people to use their real names instead of keywords in the name field but I can get over that if the comment is good and like I said, adds value to the post.
  • Butter Me Up Without Adding Value: A sure fired way to get your comment deleted is to just tell me I did a great job and butter me up. It doesn’t work with me so you just get deleted.
  • Duplicating Links: Another way to get me to delete your comments is to add the same link in the comment as you added to the URL field. Having your link in the URL field is sufficient for people finding your site.

If they can’t leave a value added comment why bother unless they are spamming and it takes a real dumbass not to know what the difference is between a value added comment and just plain spam.

10 Search Engine Optimization Tips

Image representing Google as depicted in Crunc...

SEO or search engine optimization is not an overnight strategy but a very worthwhile investment of your time and money. You will notice a difference quickly as far as getting more targeted visitors which may just show up as more sales.

SEO strategies are strategies that one continually works and not just a one time thing as it may do well for a while but will slowly drift down the rankings as others work their keywords and pass you in the search engines.

The good news is that search engine optimization doesn’t have to cost you, although paying for it or some training will put you ahead of most people. SEO your web pages and you will see your unique visitor count growing by the day.

Here Are A Few Good SEO Tips For Your Web Sites

1. Use Keyword in Your Web Site URL

I have a few blogs that I use very similar keywords for but they don’t all get the same amount of ranking or visitors. Those blogs I have that I purchased with keywords have far out performed the others. It was a great lesson to learn and you would be wise to learn this before you start blogging.

If you can’t get a domain with your keywords trying looking for the same thing using hyphens between your words. It’s better than not getting to use your keywords.

Example: Try for a keyworded domain name:

1. www.internetmarketingstrategies.com

2. www.internet-marketing-strategies.com

I always go for the #1 choice but will use hyphens as a last resort if it will get me keyworded domains.

2. Use Titles That Are Keyworded

If you are not including your keywords in your blog post titles you are missing out on postitive attention from the major search engines. They need those keywords to help establish just what your topic really is.

3. Use Heading To Talk To Search Engines

A blog heading is going to be a H1 or Heading 1 but you need to specify heading for the titles and headings within your post. I like to use H2 for the most important, after the title of course and then H3 for sub headings.

Be sure you use keywords in your titles that match the keywords you have in your title.

4. Use Those Keywords In Your Body Text

I have seen so many articles that have a great title as it using keywords and says what they topic is, but then the author falls short by drift around in the body text talking about things that match the title, plus they don’t bother using their keywords.

Be sure you use your keyword phrases, maybe two but no more than three keyword phrases. Use them at the beginning, the middle and the end of your post so the search engines know what you are talking about.

Don’t be afraid to use bold, italic and maybe even some underlining to point out those phrases.

5. A Pictures Is Worth A Thousand Words

Note: A search engine can’t see a picture but they can read the ALT text you can attach to an images so it’s important that you use both. The image for your readers and the ALT text for the search engines.

6. Increase Your PageRank With BackLinks

You can get a lot of attention with your words but if you want to get pagerank and really help your web site gain target traffic then you need to get people to link to your pages.

Another method and one I use every day I work is commenting on other niche related web sites. I also write unique articles and publish them on the top, high pagerank article directories.

7. Buying Ages Domains Is A Smart Move

Search engines, and when I say search engines I am really meaning Google, loves aged domains. So if you can get an aged domain that has your keywords in it you could be golden. It’s a great place to start before you ever type a word.

8. Update Your Blog Regularly

I have domains that get indexed in just a few hours and it’s because I write often to keep the search engines returning regularly.

Plus when I arrive at a blog and see that they haven’t updated for months I have a tendency to just leave the site. If they can’t be bothered updating they must have given up or just moved on to something else and they don’t care about their site.

9. Using Keyword Density As A Guide

I mentioned in an earlier point that keywords should be used at the beginning, middle and end of your blog posts but it is also smart to use a keyword density as a guide. I like to keep my keyword phrase density between 2 and 5 percent. That was it doesn’ t look like spam.

10. Synonyms And Associated Keywords

Use your main keyword phrases like I mentions but also get a few synonyms or related keyword phrases as that will get you a few more target visitors and increase your readership.

Target associated key terms as well. For example, web advertising and marketing hints, world-wide-web marketing and advertising techniques, net marketing trends.

In summary, utilize constant seo endeavours on the site and you’ll reap the long-term advantages. Always remain on best in the latest SEO link vine review trends since Yahoo will continually revise their search engine optimization algorithm.

PHP

I love affiliate marketing. It’s so nice to sell other people’s products and never have to create any of my own. But affiliate marketing and the links required to make sales have been a pain in the butt for years.

For years I was satisfied with using affiliate links as is. Not too bright on my part as most of my links were Clickbank affiliate links which had my user ID and referrer ID right in the link. It was so easy for anyone to just change my ID to their own and BAM there goes my sale.

Even though Clickbank eventually cloaked their affiliate links, somewhat, they are still easy to figure out. Also people can still look at them and see that they are affiliate links and you know many people just run from affiliate links.

I have people tell me, numerous times, that I should hide or cloak my affiliate links. Well I tried using a URL shortener so the links didn’t look like affiliate links but soon found that didn’t work all that well either.

Then I was introduced to PHP REDIRECTS.

I quickly saw my earning increase, almost over night. Not sure why I didn’t do this a long time ago.

Setting up a redirect looks like I am sending visitors to another page on my site but in reality I am sending them anywhere I want and they won’t see it as an affiliate link.

Example:

1. The old way: Using the old method which was not doing anything an affiliate link might look like the following:

http://yourid.petsitterb.hop.clickbank.net?tid=ffw

Were you can see your ID and the referrer’s ID, and is easily messed with so that you lose the sale. Also it scares people off quite often.

2. The redirect method: This method has a bit of code that is saved as an index file in a folder you create on your web site. When any one sees the link they see you have it pointing at a folder on your site, so it looks normal, but when they click it they are taken to the link you provide in this little snippet of code. Very easy.

The follow code is an example:

<?php
$strKeyword = $_GET['kw'];
header( ‘Location: http://yourwebsite.com/folder-name’. $strKeyword ) ;
?>

All you need to do with this code is create the folder first, create a file called index.php and copy the code into the source code of the page. Just be sure to change the URL in the code so that it reflects your site and folder. It’s that easy.

The Affiliate Code by Michael Jones If you haven’t read The Affiliate Code Video Course Part One you can read it here.

For success in online business you need to start right by picking a niche that is actually profitable. Yet that is where the majority of marketers go wrong from day one.

Pick the wrong niche will lead you down a path that is full of work and little to no positive results and most certainly very little if any income.

Picking a non profitable niche just leaves one spinning their wheels, digging themselves into a rutt they may never get out of.

The Itch To Pick A Niche

The excitement of starting an online business and making a living online is just too exciting and quite often made to look a lot easier than it is. This tends to make marketing wannabees jump in without putting much thought into the process.

If you find that you are not making the money you expected don’t panic, you have come to the right place as I have found a set of videos that take you from square one to successfully making money online.

Check out The Affiliate Code video course by Michael Jones and you will see how to pick your niche and start making money almost instantly.

Marketing Results Can Be Deceiving

Now picking the wrong niche doesn’t mean you won’t make any money. Heck I have jumped right into some niches I thought were great only to find I would only make a sale every so often. Just enough to make me think that I could tweak my site and make more which of course was wrong.

Shoot Yourself In The Foot, Skip The Research

My biggest mistake by far was thinking I knew what would make me money without bothering to really research the niches. I could get lots of traffic from interested people but there was no money.

A niche has to convert into income or what’s the use, right. There are lots of niches that have great info but they are not great for making income so if your goal is to make money online you need to look at niches that have people with money they are willing to part with.

All I can say here is you need to stop what you are doing…

Slow Down For Some Niche Research

Okay, the first rule of picking a profitable niche is to take a deep breath, keep both eyes open and research the potential.

One hour of research will save you months of working on a non profitable niche.

Okay take a few minutes, head over to The Affiliate Code video course by Michael Jones and just scan through the sales page looking at what you can learn with these videos and I will see you in my next post.

Evaluating The Affiliate Code – Part One

The Affiliate CodeMy biggest mistake learning how to make money online was staying on track with the program.

Maybe I landed on my head too many times as a kid but I would get something started and before I even realized it I had way too many things on the go.

To make it worse, none of the things I had going made it to completion before I would be starting something else, again. Most people would have given up by this point.

I was more frustrated than I can I can tell you, it was even affecting my home life. If you have come anywhere close to messing up as much as I have I am sure you feel the pain I was going through.

Over the years I was struggling I read a lot of articles and blog posts, a lot, and then one day I came across an article talking about some Michael guy that had the answers. How many times I have read that??

The article was compelling so I followed their link to a product sales page for The Affiliate Code , by Michael Jones and my business life finally changed for the better.

Of course by this time I was sceptical about everything and seemed like I was reading just to find something wrong with a product. Well I waded through the rather long sales page and found nothing wrong.

I was excited, although I had been excited many times before. I verified that there was a 100% guarantee of satisfaction or 100% of your money back, so in the end I was convinced to give it a try.

Do Nothing But Listen

Michael told me pretty much right from the start: “What all the videos without doing anything at all, just watch and listen.”

Probably the best advice I ever listened to.

So day one I sat there and watched a lot of videos. The more I sat there and listened the more excited I got but I also realized Michael knew what he was talking about and that there was a ton of info in those videos.

So on day two I sat down and listened to them again. this time I started taking notes and drawing diagrams to get it all clear in my head. By this time I was really excited and had a hard time staying in my seat, but I did.

See, if Michael didn’t tell me not to do anything I would have been right back into the doing way too much again, before understanding what I was doing.

I’m not stupid and I’m not slow but when he told me not to do anything it felt like a weight was lifted and I could just relax and watch videos.

That right there was worth what I paid for the The Affiliate Code video course. Remember I spent a long time spinning my wheels. But now I am following Michael’s step to success in affiliate marketing and it actually works.

Take the time to check out the videos and start your success now.

blog-mastermindI couldn’t tell you how much I have learned from Yaro Starak but as a very confused marketer who loves to blog I needed someone to help me understand and Yaro was there when others seems to talk around in circles confusing me even more.

Yaro is a pro blogger who developed the Blog Mastermind Training program to help others succeed in blogging for profit.

One of the main reasons I like Yaro is that he is trustworthy and works really hard to teach others. He has been blogging for as long I remember blogging and I think it’s been more than 5 years or so.

Yaro makes hundreds of thousands more dollars than I ever plan to make and that’s cool. We both reach or goals, mine are just not the same as Yaro’s goals. I am ready to retire and just want extra money to pay for our travels.

In my opinion Yaro’s Blog Mastermind is the top blog training program I have come across, thanks to my friend Bob. Bob reads a lot more than I do and gives me valuable tips, Yaro’s Blog Mastermind program being one of them.

What’s Covered In This Training Program?

  • How to pick your best Niche – Picking my niche properly is where I went wrong in the first place, which made every thing I did after just not perform as I thought it should.
  • How to create quality content. Get this right and you will have plenty target traffic.
  • Link building strategies that gets your blog more focused attention.
  • Techniques for building more and better traffic .
  • How to get organic traffic through SEO – Search Engine Optimization.
  • How you make a full time income blogging.

The 6 training modules are well planned to teach most effectively using text, audio and video in a step by step process. Here are the modules you will learn from:

  1. How To Set-Up and Optimize Your Blog For Explosive Growth From Day One
  2. How To Create Blog Content That Magnetically Attracts Devoted Readers
  3. The Exact Traffic Techniques That Took My Blog From 0 to 5,000+ Daily Readers

  6. How To Turn Your Blog Into A Real Business (Or, “How to Work Less and Earn More”)
  7. BONUS Advanced Module: Lessons From Professional Bloggers Daniel Scocco and Alborz Fallah

I always prefer audio or video as my reading is pretty slow and I find myself re-reading the same things over and over. So the fact that Yaro has audio and video to help me learn makes it all the more valuable.

I don’t go to a lot of forums as I find myself easily distracted but it would be a wrong move to ignore the members only forum. There is just too much to gain from this forum’s members.

Now get on over and join the Blog Mastermind Training program today.

How to Maximize Profits through Blogging

Copertina di Business Week: "Blogs will c...
Image by Metafora AD Network via Flickr

Writing a blog is one of the most inspiring and fun hobbies to do. More folk are into it, some for personal purposes, others for business. But whichever purpose it is created for, we need to understand how to make a good blog that we can be proud of and worth looking at.

What do we need to do in order to make and write a good blog?

Here are the steps for making a great blog.

1.Overall impact.

Think about the blog in its totality and not only one side of it. Think about how it’ll appear, the images that are to be included, put something that would simply’ wow’ the readers. But we should not go too far, a little more would be OTT.

2.The niche.

We must make sure that we all know what we get ourselves into. We must prove that we are the authority in the niche that we are in. Knowing nothing about the niche that we are in or the product that we are selling would be disastrous. Knowledge is power, therefore it’s better to know first than engage something that we are clueless about. While picking a niche you also got to be certain you select a good profit-making keyword for that niche, only then are you able to make maximum profits out of it. The simplest way to do this is to make use of a good keyword tool like IMEye keyword tool.  Read our IMEye review to know more about it.

3.The Title.

Nothing can attract more attention better than the title itself. It serves as an outline of what people are to expect in the content of the blog. If we can catch the attention of many visitors thru our title the better. It sparks their interest and will keep them craving for more info.

4.The Content.

If we have caught the eye of our visitors then to keep them reading, we need to make a good content. We must not fail them in their expectations, we must deliver a good piece. Under this, we want to have a good command of the language, avoid grammatical inaccuracies and correct typos in our articles. Add to that unique and different info that are beneficial to the readers.

5.The Keywords.

So as to fare well in search sites, we also need phrases for our blogs. Relevant keywords is a must.

6.The images.

One way to attract our visitors are the photos we posts on our blog. Occasionally, what is suitable to the eyes would also suit us as an individual.

7.The Links.

For the fact that blogs are more private and more hands on, our main goal here is to reach out and supply information as much as we can. We may provide links of related posts, blogs and other extra info. Call to action can also be put into our articles which may serve as a guide for readers on what they may click next.

Finally, we want to introduce ourselves for our readers to relate to us. If we are able to update our blog posts every day then do it. Hopefully this step-by-step guide for great blogs will be a big help for all bloggers out there.

I work at home and have been since about mid 2001 and have used article marketing to increase my business, even before it was all that popular. Today article marketing really helps to gain exposure for your online business so don’t slack off and think you can just write average articles. There are a few things you should know to become really successful through article marketing.

Check the requirements of article sites prior to you produce accounts because you have to know regardless of whether their terms and conditions are acceptable for you. The thought is to see what kind of hyper-links they accept and also you learn how to use the particular context into your advantage. Easy hyper-links or URLs are the most commonly utilized, even though anchor text links are considered a lot more specific and a lot more efficient.

All article directories have duplicate filters that make certain that you only use original materials for distribution. Never submit articles that you have previously used elsewhere: regardless of whether on your website or on other sites, simply because you won’t get distribution approval for them.

The chances for approval decrease if you include too numerous hyper-links in the article content. Keep in mind that if you submit content articles, you’d better get them distributed efficiently, or you waste money and time for nothing. Two links at the maximum for that writer resource box and two for that post content material, if accepted, are going to be more than enough. Try to work with sites that accept the use of anchor text links.

There are numerous directories where to submit articles, but the thought is to work with those that have the best reputation. Get accounts with top ten post directories and it’ll be enough. The number of post sites continues to grow each day, but it’s hard to get accounts with all of them. When you use a software tool for submission, it will use all the existent accounts to submit articles and spread your components depending about the settings you produce.

It is advisable that you simply don’t publish your personal email address in the writer resource box simply because you’ll be the sure victim of SPAM. Get a separate e-mail account to only use for such situations. The link to your web site will usually be enough, without your giving an email address too.

Last but not least, you ought to pay attention to submit content articles in the right category. The first objective of such submissions would be to have the components further distributed across the web as other websites will publish content material. Use your name and individual account for manual submission, because of the higher efficiency rate for re-publication.

Use our search engine submission, and start to drive your website to the first page of Google. Find out more at: backlink building program.
