People have been using Adsense to make money online since it’s been available which has been about a decade now. But it’s not that easy, so most don’t make much at all, if anything.

Mike, as soon as I got your comment I headed over to check out your blog. This is a major point right here. I read your blog comment and headed to your site. My readers may also do that in order to help you. That’s traffic.

Commenting on blogs is a great way to get traffic to your blog.

The Key to Successful Blog Commenting

 1. Try To Be The First To Comment

Being the first to comment is best. The reason, if you are the 27th to comment people may not even see your comment and therefore will not visit your site. That’s lost traffic.

Even the blog owner may not bother with you if you are too far down the commenting list. So make a point of being the first or in the top five commenting.

I use Bloglines news feed reader to keep track of blogs in all the niches I comment on. Start using a feed reader. I use Google Reader also.

2. Let The Blog Owner Know You Read The Post

Never spam! Let the blog owner know you read the blog post by including something from the post in your comment. This will like keep your comment from being rejected.

Note: I reject more than 95% of blog comments on my blogs because they are just spammers looking for back links. Also note that I did accept your blog comment.

Even if you wish to ask a question include the part of the post that led you to ask the question. Most blog owners are quite willing to help others and it will usually get your comment accepted as well.

3. Include A Link to Your Blog

Now we can’t check out your site if you don’t leave a link. Plus it’s the link that will get you the traffic.

So be sure to include a link to your blog in the comment URL field. Don’t leave it in the comment if it’s already in the URL field. Looks very spammy and is unnecessary.

Problems Writing For Money

Mike you pointed out that you have trouble writing for money. The first thing I noticed about your site is that it’s not got just one single niche involved. That can really make money making a whole lot tougher because the search engine aren’t really sure what type of traffic to send you.

A blog in a single niche with articles written using the keywords for that niche will get more targeted traffic., plain and simple.

Mike, I spent an entire year working a blog with multiple niches and didn’t make much money because my traffic wasn’t focused. I then started a second blog, based on one of my hobbies.

That’s when things started to become clear for me. I was getting low numbers of NON targeted traffic to my first blog but in just a couple of months, with my new blog I was getting more traffic, traffic that was targeted and I started making money.

Lesson learned!!

Today I have many blogs, even some about working from home and how to make money online, but most are hobby and interest related. The thing is each of my blogs now have only one niche each.

Stop writing for money, or trying to. Instead learn what people in your niche want and need and then give it to them.

Example: On one of my fishing related blogs I talk about the things that help me catch more fish. I don’t try to sell my reader, I try to share with them and if you’re a fisher, you just get the urge to have what I have that catches more fish.

Once you have your blog focused toward the best keywords and you have written some content, helpful and informative content, you want to start a back link campaign to get links back to your pages.

There are thousands upon thousands of place you can get backlinks to your web pages.

The key to success with article marketing is to be unique.

• DO NOT publish the same article twice, even if it’s on a different site. Search engines today want unique content.
• Use varied keyword phrased in your backlinks

Creating and using unique content is the path to successful article marketing and backlinking.

This can be done manually like I did it for years or you can use article spinning software like I do today. I personally use The Best Spinner for my article spinning needs.

Back when I first started I would publish the same article over many sites. When that started being less productive I began rewriting articles into unique articles by rewriting each sentence and using different synonyms. Today I use The Best Spinner to accomplish the same task but in a fraction of the time.

I see a lot of spun articles today, articles that just plain suck. Going wild with article spinning in the hopes of making Adsense income usually ends in disappointment. Quality content makes far more money than crap does.

If you haven’t learned already commenting is a great for building the popularity of your blog with lots of targeted backlinks which can help to gain more directed traffic which in turn is your opportunity to make more money online.

The thing is that you can’t just comment on any blog, you actually need to focus on blogs relevant to your blog’s content or keyword focus.

Be sure you check blogs before commenting. Make sure they are worth your time and not just spam blogs, also look to see that they update their content on a regular basis. I expect them to be blogging at least a couple of times each week, more if possible. One more thing, expect to wait a day or two before you’re approved, again this is due to so many comment spammers.

1. Add Value To The Blog Post: I get hundreds of requests to accept articles each and every day I work online but only a fraction of them get approved. The biggest reason they are rejected is due to comments that hold absolutely no value.

You can stroke my ego all day long and it won’t get your comment accepted. It may have worked the first few times but now they just get rejected. If I see a comment that says nothing about the blog post they are commenting on I am pretty certain it’s automated and just spam.

Don’t assume all bloggers are idiots when it comes to accepting comments.

2. The Early Bird Gets The Worm: This can really make a difference in the results your comment have.

If you come to the blog post a week after it was published and it has 30 or 40 comments your comment may never get read at all. However, being the first on the scene means you can write a nice ‘value-added’ comment the blog owner and other visitors will see and read. They may also visit your site, which is the goal right.

To keep up with the blogs of interest I use a feed reader like Google Reader of Bloglines so I can see at a glance the sites that have new blog posts. This way I can comment immediately.

3. Comment On And Link To Relevant Sites: I follow every link in a comment because I don’t want to let spammers get through so for this reason it’s best to link to a relevant site, you get accepted more often.

4. Look For High PR Blogs To Comment On: The more popular a site already is the better for your linking campaigns. A few high PR sites may take longer to find but they will do so much more for your site, as long as they are relevant to your own content.

It’s worth noting that the higher the PR a site has the more likely it’s important to look back at points 1 and 2 because you can be sure they are watching for the value added comments that will help their site and being forst to comment is only going to benefit you.

Bonus Tip: If the blog comment section says use your real name and not a keyword and you choose to use a keyword, you’re an idiot and deserve to have your comments rejected, even if they follow all the other rules.

In conclusion blog comment takes work but gives results, it just needs to be done regularly.

The Best Spinner is a tool used to create, or spin many copies of one article by means of replacing words and sentence with multiple examples TBS can then use to create unique documents, articles or blog posts. It’s called spintax.

What’s The Best Spinner Look Like?

Here is an empty page in The Best Spinner, showing the tools, menus and buttons available to users.

When you paste an article into The Best Spinner it will appear as shown below:

You can see that some of the text is underlined and if you look closely you may see that some words are in italics. The underlined words are words that TBS has in it’s extensive user created database of synonyms and phrases while the words in italics are words that have no available synonym.

If you are writing your article directly in The Best Spinner you may not see your text with identified synonyms. To have TBS show you the synonyms you can just click the Identify Synonyms button shown on the left here but at the bottom left of the TBS window.

The Best Spinner User Generated Database

I started article spinning back when it was still called article writing or rewriting. I used a thesaurus to find word replacements but it was a physical book, not software.

Believe me when I tell you article marketing was rather time consuming back then. Even when online thesauruses were available it was still a slow process. Even though article marketing was time consuming it was highly effective.

Today with available tools, like The Best Spinner, article marketing is so much easier however, some times, just some times easier can mean dangerous as many already know.

As soon as you paste an existing article into The Best Spinner some words and phrases become underlined. These are words and phrases that have replacement words and phrases or synonyms that can replace words in your article.

This is know as the user generated database.

Using the tab key you can move from word to word or phrase to phrase. As you tab through your article The Best Spinner will select or highlight words and phrases that are underlined. Remember that defines words and phrases that are in the User Generated Database.

In the example on the left you can see the phrase ‘step by step’ is highlighted and that list of words and phrases is showing. This is the list of synonyms available that were created by other users.

At this point all one has to do is click on other choices they would like to use and they will be selected as well.

When you hit the tab again your choices will become part of the spintax that makes up your spun article.

Notice the Add box and button. Using this box you can add words and phrases to the list. This is how users add to the database. Just that simple.

Avoid Using The Auto Replace All Button

The fact that the user generated database is generated by users and that not all users have a good grasp of the English language or grammar means the database doesn’t always have the ideal or relevant words.

So, because all words are not going to fit your article it’s probably best to replace them manually as I do myself.

By all means give the Auto Replace All button a few tries with your articles and then read the resulting articles. If they all read fine great, if not, then don’t use the Auto Replace All button.

It’s going to take you a little longer to spin your articles but the resulting articles will be worth gold if you do them right. The spun articles may be okay for search engines to index and give you links to your money sites but I wouldn’t put them in front of a human reader and expect any positive results.

Spintax Makes Article Spinning Work

Spintax is simple the characters or symbols used to define spinnable words, paragraphs and sentences into variable ones. The symbols The Best Spinner uses are listed below, however TBS can convert to other spintax code.

{ – Open Brace Bracket – The opening brace bracket is the start point of your spinning, although not all spinning software using the brace bracket, some use the opening square bracket, [.

| – The pipe, as it’s called, separates each piece of spun text. If you are spinning sentences and create two replacement sentences you would use two pipes, one after each sentence except the last as you will use the closing brace bracket to tell TBS you’re done with that spin.

} – The closing brace bracket closed that spun set of sentences or words or phrases, depending on what you are spinning.

Example: {Working from home|Working at home} {in your spare time|even part time} {will|could|can} {assist|help} you to {make|earn} extra {income|cash|money}.

Example 2: {Working from home in your spare time you can start making money online.|Working at home, even part time, could help you to earn money on the Internet.}

The first example uses spintax to vary words and phrases while the second example spins entire sentences. You can of course use a combination of both and you can spin within spun text.

Example: {Work {at|from} home marketing {online"|on the web|on the Internet}.|{Earn|Make} {an income|money|cash} {while you work from home|working from home}.}

Here is what happens when I used the Auto Replace All Button:

Spin-Code: Working from {home|house|residence|property} {article|write-up|post} {marketing|advertising|marketing and advertising|advertising and marketing} can {help|assist|aid|support} you make {money|cash|funds|dollars} {online|on-line|on the internet|on the web}.

And a sample sentence from the spintax text:

Spun Sentence: Working from property write-up marketing and advertising can support you make funds on-line.

You can see that the sentence now makes little sense. Also if Working from home and article marketing were keywords they are no longer. However The Best Spinner does have a tab that allows you to enter phrases you don’t want changed.

Protected Terms

So, let’s do the last example code again but first I’ll go into the Protected Terms tab and add both keyword phrases:

Spin-Code: Working from home article marketing can {help|assist|aid|support} you make {money|cash|funds|dollars} {online|on-line|on the internet|on the web}.

Notice that our key phrases are untouched now but the user generated database still added words we just wouldn’t use in every day conversation. Such as the phrase:

Spun Sentence: Working from home article marketing can support you make funds on-line.

To avoid this issue just pick the words and phrases you want for the synonyms list, manually. It takes longer but the resulting articles will have value.

Replace Favorites

I don’t advise people to use the auto replace all button but using the Replace Favorite button on the other hand would be fine as I have control over what’s listed in this tool.

Example: If I have a phrase, such as, work from home and pick the phrases I use to replace this phrase manually I can then save it as a favorite and use it again later to replace work from home elsewhere through my article.

Select Sentence Mode

When I rewrite I like to rewrite entire sentences and then go back and spin the individual sentences. I find I end up with many more, well written, articles to publish.

You can even set an option in the Settings And Options tab. It’s the first check box, Sentence Selection Mode. Once I am done with the Sentence mode I just go back in and un-check the box.

Now when I hit the tab key to move to the next selection it will select entire sentences instead of only words and phrases.

Creating And Using Favourites

You can save variations for particular words and phrases as your favourites and have them replaced in new texts by clicking the Replace Favourite’s button.

You can create favourites as you select words and phrases. Just click the Save Favorites button before moving to the next selection. It’s quick and works great.

All occurrences of the phrases you have saved with favourites will be replaced automatically once you click and choose the favorite you want to use.

Just this morning I wanted to spin an article I had written. I loaded the article and then clicked the Replace Favorites button and instantly my article was 10% spun already. With words that fit too, saves me a lot of time and my articles read like a human wrote them, so I don’t mind adding my name to these articles.

The more words and phrases you setup in favourites the faster you will spin articles.

Different Spin Syntax Formats

I publish to a few sites that can actually use my spin code to publish my articles to their network but it’s not the default code that The Best Spinner uses. Not a problem.

Once I have my article spun I can click the Spin Syntax Button and select the format I require. Then I click the copy to clipboard and my spin code is ready to paste in where ever I need it.

There are 4 different spin code types to select from:

1. [example1|example2]
2. [spin]example1|example2[spin]
3. {example1|[example2~example3]}
4. {example1~example2}

CopyScape Check Uniqueness Checking

I love this feature because CopyScape will tell me if content is duplicated online and how many times. It will even show me what the phrases are that are duplicated.

With this info I can modify the article to make those phrases unique before I start spinning the article.

Before The Best Spinner I would manually copy the content I wanted to check for uniqueness and paste it into my account at CopyScape. Even though it’s only 5 cents per check it was still a bit of a pain.

I can now do this within The Best Spinner by adding my log-in info for CopyScape. It’s pretty cool and fast.

A very good feature. And before TBS and before I knew about CopyScape I used to copy snippets of text and search them in Google using quotes around the phrases. Now that was time consuming.

Post To Your Blog From The Best Spinner

At the time of this writing I have almost 20 blogs on the go. Being able to write and spin articles in The Best Spinner and then publishing unique copies to my relevant blogs is awesome.

There are some nice benefits available to the work at home affiliate marketer. One huge benefit I get to enjoy is being a work from home mom who gets to see her kids grow up.

No Need For Prior Experience

Other than being able to work from home to do your affiliate marketing you don’t actually have to have a whole lot of experience.

I did quite well with affiliate marketing because I focused on things I already know about. Mostly fishing related affiliate products. I am a bit of a fishing fanatic so I promote things that make my fishing experience all that much better and then share that info with others to make money online.

I Didn’t Even Need A Product of My Own

If we had to come up with products of our own I think a lot of online marketers would be looking for other ways to make money. Myself included.

I know a lot about fishing. Add the fact that there are millions of other who love fishing and the fact that there are hundreds and thousands of fishing related affiliate products, why would I ever want a product of my own.

It’s so much easier to find a good affiliate network with products you can promote. This way you just focus on getting as many eyes on those affiliate pages as you possibly can.

Heck, You Don’t Even Require A Website

That’s one of the cool things when it comes to affiliate marketing. It’s not absolutely necessary to own a website. You can just use your affiliate link to direct others to the affiliate page.

I personally prefer having my own website as some places you will try promoting won’t let you use affiliate links. So I use a redirect from one of my websites to get around this issue. Works great as a matter of fact.

Getting Your Affiliate Marketing Payments

Sadly not everyone online is honest like you and me. I have been taken a few times, it hurts and is most discouraging. But I learn, even if it’s the hard way.

Today I don’t deal with people individually when I comes to affiliate marketing products I promote. If they are not from a reputable network I don’t bother with them. That’s why I use places like Amazon.com, Clickbank.com and CJ.com (Commission Junction).
