Article Marketing Tips For Creating Successful Campaigns

tenminutearticlesIt really doesn’t make much of a difference if you are selling ebooks or home gardening tools if you don’t know what you’re doing you’re not likely to be earning the money you could if you knew what you should be doing. New Internet marketers need to learn about marketing in order to attract the right visitors to whatever it is you’re promoting.

Today I’d like to share some worthwhile tips about article marketing. This should give you a better idea about marketing correctly.

You can start by checking out a good article marketing ebook from Clickbank.

Let Others Use Your Articles

I love it when others use my articles and I put no restrictions on it other than my links need to remain intact. The fact is it’s stealing your content if they don’t, because on their site there will be nothing pointing back to me. I love having lots of links that point to my webpages and get many from those reposting my content.

I like using EzineArticles.com along with a few other article directories as the top directories get me some extra traffic. Plus when people use my articles from these sites it’s a requirement that they include my links.

Article Size Does Matter

When you are writing and publishing articles you should have at the least 300 words and in my opinion 500 words is better. You want to write articles that feed your reader and less than 300 words us just putting them on a diet.

Ask Your Readers What They Want

A great way to give your regular readers what they want is just ask them. Create a form or a comment section where people can leave suggestions. This way you can give them what they want, they will return more often and may just link to you. They will also share your site with others which will increase your site traffic.

Success Usually Takes Time

So many people give up after just a few months without getting the success they expect. Don’t give up, keep your article marketing efforts active, even when it’s not fun any more. Getting bored with a topic happens to everyone and is a main reason I like to market to niches that are my hobbies and interest.

Format Your Articles For Skimmers

I’m a busy marketer and I don’t like reading articles that have no breaks or headings to break up the articles. Even pictures can help but really your article should be supplied with relevant headings so people in a hurry, like myself, can find what we want and move on.

I may have gone overboard with headings in this article but I’m sure you get my point about being able to scan an article quickly.

Watch Who You’re Writing For?

By that I mean are you writing for your readers or are you writing for search engines. If you are writing for search engines and not really thinking about your readers then I’d say you’re doing things in the wrong order. You might want to learn how to SEO or search engine optimize your articles while remaining true to your readers.

Write for humans as they are the way you will earn money. Writing specifically for search engines may get you traffic but most often those visitors leave frustrated with the non human writing.

This doesn’t mean you should forget about the search engines. Not at all. Instead focus on what your readers want but also keep in mind your keywords and phrases the search engines use. Find a happy medium but in the end always put your readers first.

Even the biggest websites started small and built their empire. You can do the same as long as you keep your readers in the forefront of your mind while creating content.
