Does SEO Really Work? Really??

Image via WikipediaI have friends I help with their online business and I get asked a lot about SEO, search engine optimization. The biggest question is ‘Does SEO really work? And will it bring me more traffic?’

My respond is always ‘of course it does’ and then I explain a few optimization strategies that work for me.

The thing about search engine optimization is that it works only when it’s applied. Asking about it or learning about doesn’t help unless action is taken.

That is why some of those friends aren’t making money online. They are, at this point, only spending. I am sure they will eventually give what I tell them a try and at that time they will slap themselves on the head for the time and money they have wasted.

SEO Does Work But It Also Takes Work

I have been optimizing web pages for a long time and it does require work. If you don’t have any special tools like SEO elite it’s going to take a whole lot longer, but it can be done. I did it without SEO elite for years. I just do it a lot faster now that I use SEO elite.

I used to spend hours and sometimes days going through top searches for keywords around my topic of interest using Google. I would find sites that matched my search and then I would study them to find out why they were at the top of the the search engines. Now I can find this info and more so much faster using SEO elite.

In my mind it’s like digging a foundation for your new house using shovels instead of a backhoe. You can eventually accomplish the same results but using shovels it’s going to take a whole lot longer. Use the tools for the job and you will have success much sooner. Of course you have to invest in renting a backhoe but you also save yourself weeks of extra hard work.

Let me ask you.

Have you ever gone to Google, or your favorite search engine, and typed in the term you were interested in? I would guess the answer is yes.

At that point did you go to any of the pages that came up on that first or second page of results?

Why are they on the first or second page? Well whether they knew it or not they used search engine optimization to get there. In most cases they did know what they were doing and it wasn’t by accident.

Getting your site listed on the first or second page of a search engine DOES bring you traffic.

Let me qualify that statement.

You can get top listing for keyword phrases that won’t bring you any traffic because you are the only one using that phrase. You will quickly see that if you look at the number of pages the search engines hold for that phrase. If the count is less than thousands you may not have the right keyword phrases. But…

SEO does work!

Unfortunately a LOT of marketers get so confused by how to do it, that they don’t even try, they only get more frustrated.

It’s actually pretty sad because their is so much potential, it just takes a bit of understanding and a few tools that will make it easier and faster.

Just think about what an influx of thousands of new visitors to your site every week or even every day could do for your bottom line! All it takes is learning how to use a few tools and you have the power to succeed faster.
I spent the first few years online learning SEO strategies and it really helped to make money online but it took me forever to do the research, until I was introduced to SEO elite.
