How to Write an eBook Tip #1 – Take Action.

This tip is true for a book or ebook. Get that first paragraph out of your head and onto the computer or paper. Building a new home doesn’t happen no matter how much planning is done until that first shovel full of dirt is turned over.

Take action.

How to Write an eBook Tip #2 – Carry A Notepad and Pencil.

Carry a pad and pencil with you always so you can write down any thoughts that will help you add content that you may have forgotten about. The mind is a strange thing and will pop out thoughts and answers to question you have but of course this happens at the strangest times so if you don’t have a way to write those thoughts down they may disappear as fast as they arrived in your head.

Be prepared for great thoughts and idea…

How to Write an eBook Tip #3 – Chewable Chunks

We humans tend to get overwhelmed which leads to getting nothing done. Our minds will build things up until we really believe the task at hand is impossible. To overcome this we only need to break the process into digestible pieces.

If you decided to climb a mountain would you just start climbing or would you step back and figure out how you are going to climb that mountain? Preparation and planning can make the task so much easier and more pleasant. Even though the process is one step at a time it’s good to know what’s ahead of us so we are not taken off our feet. One step at at a time.

Example: I wanted my older brother to write a short book about his life as a heart patient. Long story short…

My oldest brother walked into a hospital when he was 33 years old and dropped dead on the emergency room floor. If his ride had of taken him home like he wanted we wouldn’t be discussing him now.

He is now almost 60 and is still hanging in there. That wasn’t the only time he died but was revived. He has had numerous heart surgeries, a pace maker and even a new heart. What a story that would be but do you think I can get him to write the first words of a best seller, not a chance.

By taking the first step and then the next and the next you will start building momentum and before you know it you will have your head popping through the clouds and there’s the top of that insurmountable mountain, with a new book ready to publish.

If you look at the big picture too long you will never get started and never experience the joy of typing that last word.

So again keep the task in chewable or digestible chunks.

How To Write An eBook Tip #4 – How long is a book or ebook?

Don’t get caught up in trying to write a book that is a thousand pages long. You don’t need to be long winded to have a great book or ebook.

So the length of your book would only be as long as it needs to be to tell your story or teach what you are teaching. Any more than that and you are just making pages that may not be necessary.

How To Write An eBook Tip #5 – When is it time for a title?

When I write I write to make money online so for me it’s important to have a title for my article or books that are keyworded so others can find my content in the major search engines. So, for me I start with a keyword phrase and carry that through the title and the entire document I am writing. You on the other hand…

We are not all the same and we don’t write for the same exact reasons.

The title in my mind is the most important part of your book and may require a lot of thought but that should not stop you from getting words on paper, or you will end up like my brother. Almost 20 years later and he hasn’t written the first sentence.

Writing a book or ebooks never happens for most because it gets put off until tomorrow and tomorrow is always a day away so the task never gets done. Don’t let this be you. You have it in you and it comes out one word at a time if you start writing. So…

… how to write an ebook or book? Start with the first sentence…
