Even though I make my living blogging about my hobbies I still have to research the products that will make money and that takes a little time but is well worth the investment of my time.

I like to go over to Amazon and check out the top selling books they have. They make it so easy to find products for my niches without a lot of effort.

I also use Clickbank’s Marketplace to see there are any digital products to match my niches.

I always find products on Amazon but I don’t always find what I want on Clickbank but when I do the profit is always higher than what I earn on Amazon.

I don’t always use products from Amazon. I do however use Amazon to gauge the interest in any given niche and that info is what gives me the edge over other hobby bloggers.

Once I see what is selling best in the books and magazine categories I move on over to google to see what competition is out there for niche I am looking at. If it’s acceptable, not too low but not too high, I move onto keyword research to find a tight niche and keywords.

Then I create a blog and build a money site around the niche and keyword phrases.

I have keyword tools that do save me a lot of time. Over the past month or so I have been comparing my results to the results I find the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and have been spending more time using the Google Adwords Keyword tool instead of the software I paid good money for.

I find that the results in Google’s Keyword tool are just as good as the tools I use and you don’t have to pay for Google’s tool.
