Does Your Web Site Make Money Online?? Learn The Steps To Monitizing For Your Traffic.

I have a couple of web sites that are not designed to make me any money at all but those came only after I was making money on the internet. My main goal for starting an online business was to make money online.

My online life started in 2001 with web site and graphic design but I was really just trading dollars for hours worked.

The “BIG SECRET” to earning money on the internet is pretty simple. How? Get targeted traffic to what ever you are promoting. Without target traffic you are not going to make money online, well not much and nothing consistently.

There are hundreds if not thousands of ebooks that will teach you that you must get as many eyes on your website as you can. Those eyes need to be from your target group or you will just have visitors that leave as fast as they arrive.

So we know it’s about money so you need traffic that wants what you have but also has the money to pay you. That is where the research comes in. Find the proper target group or find another niche. Keep saying to yourself, “I can’t make money with the wrong visitors”, and you will keep focused.

Without targeted traffic there really is no business, just silence or the closing of the virtual door as they leave because they didn’t see what they expected.

The goal is the right traffic and lots of it. It is a numbers game and you hear that so many times but it’s a fact. The more eyes that see what your are promoting the more likely you will make money. If you are making a thousand dollars a sale and you are getting one sale for every one hundred visitors you don’t need a lot of eyes but on the other side, if you are only earning one dollar for every one hundred visits then you need a lot more visits.

You traffic needs will vary based on what you are selling and how much it costs.

My favorite method for generating traffic to my webpages is WORDS. Content is made of words and the words you choose to use will get indexed in the major search engines and those words will draw tarffic when other people use the search engine to find what they are looking for.

If your words are build around a phrase they are using, perhaps ‘fire pits’ and you do a better job at building content around the phrase ‘fire pits’ you will move ahead of those that didn’t do are good a job as you did, so you get free traffic from search engines. The more pages of content you create that is built better than the next guy or gal then you will get even more traffic.

All the traffic isn’t going to do you any good unless you have something that will help you earn money online, right.

So even though generating traffic isn’t the easiest task you will be paid for it over and over again making it totally worth the time and effort.
