Why YOU Should Have A Paypal Account And Feel Secure.

First. paypal is a safe and secure online way to send money, receive money and withdraw your money all over the world.

When my oldest son asked me if I would be interested in helping him in his online business I jumped right on it.  What a way to make some money.  Then I thought okay that’s great but how would I get that money.  He told me about paypal.

He showed me the way to the site.  At first I thought there was no way I could do this.  It was easy to understand and simple to set up.  I didn’t feel the least bit unsure about starting my account.

Next I began to wonder how I was going to be able to get my money.  With the invoicing it was simple. I could just send a payment request to him and he could pay me for my time by sending it right to PayPal.

Ok that was good but how in the world would I ever be able to get my money out?  That was easy too.  The have several options. I choose to have it sent directly to my bank account even though we live in Canada.  They also have a debit card and a credit card program.

Not only could I receive and send money but I could pay for items and services through them.  You can even pay for your eBay purchases.  It just kept getting better and better.

My biggest concern though was the safety.

What if other people could access my account or access the PayPal site and get to my money.  No need to be concerned.  PayPal is one of the safest money sites on the Internet.  Everything you or anyone else does to your account is monitored.  If something happens or something changes you are notified by PayPal through email immediately.

They also have a referral plan.  Bring new business to PayPal and you can earn up $1,000.00 bonus.  With over 100,000 customers worldwide that’s an incentive all in it’s own.  You can’t beat it.

This really isn’t a criticism because I know they are in the business to make money online just like all the rest of us.  They do charge a fee of 3% per payment to your account.  They also charge for some of the ways to request your money.  It can also be difficult to correct any problems with the security you may have.  It is set up to be difficult but if you’re waiting to be able to get to your money it can be a little frustrating. If you’re not familiar with what a paypal account is, I’m not sure what planet you’re from. People who frequent ebay, as a buyer or a seller, you probably have your own paypal account, or several. I have to say that although I was incredibly skeptical about the whole concept when I first was introduced to it, but I’m a huge fan now. I sell things frequently on ebay and with having a paypal account, I can be paid almost instantly. It is wonderful. Gone are the days of watching the mailbox, waiting for a personal check or money order to arrive. Gone are the days of all of the old-fashioned payment methods. Now, with a click of the mouse, you can pay someone on the other side of the world. Amazing.

My only complaint about having a paypal account, and I shouldn’t complain in the least, is that once you try to transfer funds from your paypal account to your bank account, it seems to take way too many days. Perhaps that is more my bank that seems to make it take 3-4 days, but nonetheless, it is frustrating. That means that I’m fronting the money for shipping costs before I can even touch the money that I was paid.

There is so much money that changes hands on the internet, and the majority of it seems to go through paypal. If you have a paypal account, you may be subjected to fees. I seem to be charged a fee everytime I accept a payment through paypal. That way, I can accept payments of credit cards as well. At times I think that the fees are a bit too steep, but I still make some money and get rid of things around the house that I’m not really in need of anymore.

Paypal has excellent security as well. After selling an item on ebay, the buyer claimed to have a paypal account and that they sent me an escrow account. I wouldn’t receive the money until I proved that the item was shipped. This didn’t quite sound right to me, so I contacted both paypal and ebay. Paypal responded to me immediately and let me know that this was a scam. While I was a bit nervous about my account being compromised, paypal was wonderful. I had no problems whatsoever with my paypal account since that day and they were incredibly helpful.

I’m not sure what I would do without my paypal account. The memories of mailing payments the old-fashioned way through the mail are growing more and more distant.
