SEO Elite 4.0 Backlink Analysis Report Part 1

Posted November 5, 2008 , By webmann

I am sure you know just how important it is to gain as many quality backlinks to your pages as possible, that’s only if your goal is to increase your PageRank, site popularity and gain more website traffic. Well if you didn’t know this you do now and you need to do something about it.

The higher the PageRank sites you are linked from, especially if they are relevant to your site’s content, the better opportunity to increase your own site’s PageRank. Researching and analyzing search results to find the best sites can take up way too much time and can be quite frustrating, that’s where SEO Elite 4.0 comes in.

I would like to talk a minute about the #1 project in SEO Elite as I think it’s probably the most important module in SEO Elite.

SEO Elite 4.0 - Project #1 - Analyze Backlinks Using A Specified Search Engine

When you open SEO Elite 4.0 you should see the following dialog box.

The goal of project #1 is to analyze backlinks to the website your specify in the dialog box above. So before I even start I go to Google and search for my first keyword phrase. This way I find that top sites ranked for this keyword phrase.

Once I have the top site I open SEO Elite Project #1, Analyze Backlinks and that’s when the fun starts.

There are seven steps but but not all of them are required.

Step one is the project drop down box where the first option is ‘Analyze Backlinks using a specified search engine ‘ which is the focus of this post so it can remain as is.

Step two - Enter the domain you would like to search. This is where you will enter the domain you found in Google when you were searching for your keyword phrase.

Step three - Select the maximum number of results. How many results do you want to find in each of the search engines you specify in the next step. You can go as high as 1000 but I usually keep it at about 200 results.

Step four - Select the search engine(s) you would like to use. You can use just one search engine at a time. This works great if you don’t have a spreadsheet to export your data into for better analysis, but if you have a spreadsheet you can select multiple search engines.

Step five - Skip these URLs (separate by space). There may be some domains you don’t want listed in the results. This is the place to enter them, just remember to put a space between each domain you list.

You can also click the button to the right of this step, it’s the one with 3 dots. This dialog box will allow you to enter multiple domains you wish to skip much easier.

Step six - Only return sites that include these keywords. As the title says this step will return sites that only contain specific keywords. If you would like to perform a function where you would like to know which sites contain the keywords you are searching for, then enter them here.

I usually leave this section blank so I can see the larger picture of how my website, or another is performing for a specific keyword. Ensure you separate each keyword with a comma, or alternatively use the button and enter your keyword phrase on a separate line.

Step seven - Show special criteria on reports tab.

At this point you are ready to do your first analysis of any website you desire. SEO Elite 4.0 is worth the time it takes to check it out because it will save you a lot of time and it works.

Great tutorial. I have SE4 and will use this a lot more. There are online paid services that charge $50 - $q50 per site analyzed, so this is an excellent tool for the purpose.
