4 Good Reasons To Use WordPress

Many people resist things they don’t understand and that’s how I felt about WordPress for many years.  As I become more familiar with it and saw what it could do for my marketing, I became a convert.

WordPress Is Search Engine Friendly

Search engines love WordPress and there’s a good reason for that. The WordPress developers made sure their software would be search engine friendly.  Because of that, the search engines are able to crawl through posts, pages, and categories to find and index your content.  All you need is good content.

Pinging Your Blog

Pinging is by far one of the best features of a WordPress because it tells a web blog tracking system that your blog has been updated.  These pinging services are like search engine spiders for blogs.Pining is probably one of the quickest ways to tell the world your blog has new content.Find as many pinging services as you can because a well pinged blog can mean many more visitors. The URLs of the pinging services can be entered in the WordPress Settings – Writing – Update Services box.

Switching Themes Is Easy

After having developed many traditional HTML websites of my own, changing the design and layout is a major undertaking, yet one that needs to be done from time to time.Unfortunately, it’s easy to break funtionality in the process.

WordPress makes it very easy to switch themes without affecting the data.  A theme is like a pair of window curtains around your blog. The blog’s content won’t change, only the window dressing changes.  WordPress is especially fun around major holidays when you can switch from summer to fall to Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas, and so on.

Make Your Own WordPress Themes

Developing your own WordPress themes is fun and easy with theme development software like Artisteer. You can also make Joomla, Drupal, Blogger themes and more with Artisteer.Ever wish you could hide the sidebars completely or move them from left to right?  Want a tabbed menu instead of a navigation bar?Or perhaps make several of the same theme, but with different color palettes?  Here are two blogs I made with Artisteer, one about the best WordPress hosting and the other about free workout videos.  It’s also possible to make a blog look very much like a traditional HTML site with the help of a few plugins.

If you haven’t already given WordPress a try, I encourage you to do so.  If you can use word-processing software, you can use WordPress.

I get a lot of questions from friends because I make money online, mostly from my hobbies, by the way. The main question is ‘Can my hobbies really help me make money online?’

Usually I will put them on the spot by asking them if they think that I make money from my hobbies just by luck. Then they get all wiggly in their chair because they thought they offended me or something. That’s the time I usually laugh outloud to help them relax.

Of course you can make money from you hobbies. There is really only one thing that’s a requirement, well at least I have found this to be true.

Don’t Try To Make Money From A Hobby You Do For Free

That may sound like it should go without saying but it has to be said. If I don’t spend money on a hobby who’s to say other will either, right. Stick with the hobbies that you don’t mind spending on.

Here a few sites that talk about making money with hobbies. Take the time to read them or at least scan them for helpful tips and tricks that will make it easier and faster to earn from your hobbies.

Once you read these sites I am sure you will want to create a blog about your favorite hobby and start making extra money.

I agree with Kate’s quote. I started my first blog on hobbies just to share my experiences. It wasn’t until I had someone ask me if they could pay me to post on my blog. That got me thinking I could perhaps start advertising affiliate related things, so I did and the rest is history.

2. Making Money From Your Hobbies.

I liked this page and the header graphic is pretty cool as well.

I have always said that doing something you love as your job really is a job. Well it works for me. The more things I do based around hobbies I love the less it seems like work.

The growing reputation of blogging has drawn lots of individuals and businesses to set up their own blogs via members of their work staff. A few businesses engage blog writers and reimburse them for the work that they do. RSS publicity is a way to make blog money, yet there are no proven results of it being lucrative. RSS allows users to quickly pick up content feeds from publishers and other creators of content. It provides an approachable and resourceful way for digital content syndication. As time goes by, in spite of this, it will develop into an important supplemental income stream to lots of content owners and minor publishers, more than ever bloggers. They have started conducting internet seminars and courses. Lots of blog sites offer an assortment of programs like those in order to make money online. Bloggers have found another opening to make more income with the ever-increasing popularity of blogging networks.
