Article Marketing Key Steps:

If you are interested in getting free search engine website traffic than you need to take a look at article marketing. The key is having a solid article marketing plan. Your plan must include a set number of articles to publish per month. You must follow through and stick to your guns and make sure you publish the number articles you have set in your plan for each month.

My article marketing plan calls for to write and submit 1 article per week for my fishing site, now some weeks I write more, but never less than 1 per week. You are probably thinking why only one article a week , why write and submit dozens of articles a week? Well you need to understand you are building a foundation for your business so quality of your articles is key to building a on-line respectability. Remember your goal to be recognized as a expert in your Selected niche market.

Article marketing is not a quick hit traffic generator, This process takes time and your website traffic increases will be over time. There are some ways to jump start your efforts by automation but you need to learn the basics before using these tools. But I can guarantee this traffic will be quality targeted traffic. I have been using article marketing for about two years now and my sales have doubled.

Now let’s get to the meat of my article and look at key steps that are needed to make your article marketing efforts successful.

#1 Like I said in my opening paragraphs above you need to identify your “niche” market to be successful with your efforts. The more specific you can be with your article marketing plan the more success you will have. You will build your whole plan based on what you choose in this step, that is why I have Identified it as #1.

#2 Based on what you have chosen as your “niche market” you will now need to create a list of keywords that are associated with your selection. This list should be no less than 50 keyword phrases. These words need to be associated with the “niche” market you have chosen. {I do not recommend you start out targeting single keywords, select keyword phrases about your niche that are two and three words in length. Concentrate on using keyword phrases that are two and three words in length.} To be honest with you I have never done very well with single keywords in my articles. It has been my experience that single keywords do not score high for me on the search engines. If you have a low advertising budget, like most of us, I would like to suggest an excellent free keyword phrase generator that is offered by Google adwords. This service is free and you do not need to deposit any money. Just enter a single keyword that is specific to your niche and the Adwords system will generate a keyword phrase list of two, three and more words. Concentrate on using the two and three word phrases for your article marketing efforts.

#3 Now you are ready to start writing articles! What I do in my writing is just start writing what comes to mind that is pertinent to the niche I have selected. If you have to do any research do it before you start writing. This is also an excellent way to help with your articles structure. Start out writing by inserting your two and three word phrases as you go. One thing about keywords or phrases is that you do not want to repeat the same targeted word or phrase more than once every 100 hundred words. Take for example, if I were writing a article about article marketing and targeting the phrase “ Article Automation” and the length of my article was say 700 words, I would need to make sure this key word phrase was not used more than once every 100 words and no more then 7 times total. There are some twists you could use like mixing it up and instead of using “crappie fishing you could use “crappie angling” Its up to you. Just don’t repeat the same phrase in a 100 word count, the search engines penalize you for doing so and your article will not score well. Remember concentrate on the quality of your article when inserting keyword phrase. It’s important that you get the attention of the reader.

#4 Create a list of article directories to submit your article too. All article directories are not created equal so I suggest you use the following simple steps list the sites you want to submit to in a priority by Google ranking sequence. First thing you need to do is go to Google and type in “article directory” in the search box. The results will give you 1000’nds of sites to use in your list development. I Do suggest two very important article sites that are worth mentioning that you should put at the top of your list, and they are ezinearticles.com and Searchwarp.com. I use a free Google ranking tool that is simple to use to locate each sites ranking. Type in the following keyword phrase “website ranking tools for Google” at Google’s search box to find a free ranking tool suitable for you, or just e-mail me and I send the link I use. Just a note when developing a list use sites with rankings of 6,5,4,3 first, these sites will get you some traffic over time.

Well folks that should do it! Good luck with your article marketing efforts may success come your way!

The Merits Of Key Word Phrases used in niche marketing

There is much controversy on whether keywords and keyword phrases are still needed. Here’s’ my take on this issue: Yes! Yes! Yes! Especially in Article Marketing. The key word meta tag my be dead but the essence of what the keyword does for search engines has not changed. Even when search engines base there rankings primarily website It is true that Google primarily scan for content and disregards any keywords in the meta tags, but what do you think thee Google scans are looking for? Google has to have some basis to list your articles or websites when someone does a search and the keyword phrase plays a very big part. For example if your were looking for “fishing equipment” , I am going to search on Google using these same two words. You are probably starting to understand the power of keyword phrases. Google is going to go out and find websites or articles that have the key word phrase or similar key words you have searched for. Maybe the meta tags do not hold any significance but keywords or a keyword phrase do.

Here are a few simple tips to generate a list of powerful keywords that you can use when you start writing your articles.

#1 – Identifying your niche market is so important, If you do not know precisely what you want to write about you are spinning your wheels. Niches, are a specific market derived from a much larger market. For example if I was trying to market fishing information about crappies, my market would be “fishing” and my niche would be “crappie fishing” My key word list would be based on the words “crappies” and “fishing”. If you have not identified what your market and what products you are trying to sell within that market, do not waist your time writing articles yet. You need to complete step #1 if you want to be successful.

#2 - After you have discovered your niche market you will be ready to move on and start developing your keyword or key word phrase list. Enter the following link in your browser to go to Google’s Awords webpage and sign up for a free account if you can’t access the keyword tools directly.. .

Here’s a link to their tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Now use the following keyword for an example by typing the following word “fishing “ into the box that says Enter one keyword or phrase per line: You will notice that the results are way to broad if I were selling information related to crappie fishing. Let be more specific and enter the keyword phrase “article marketing” , Now were talking! This phrase is not near as competitive and has 100’s of key word phrases you would start building a key word list for articles about article marketing. Of course this is only an example you could use this technique for any market. What you want to do now is download the resulting list to you PC, I always Microsoft excel to help build my lists but any software that you can store your results would work well. You will now need to prioritize and weed out phrases that are too competitive or have a very low monthly search volume, so pay close attention to the two columns in the report that have the headings “Advertiser Competition” and “Approx Search Volume:” respectively.

To determine if a phrase is too competitive look at the rectangular box right under the key word phrase under the “Advertiser Competition” column. Look at the box and if the color is green and extends more than half way across the box, delete it or put it at the bottom of your list. Here’s a tip I use. Concentrate on words or phrases where the green bar is no more that ¼ the way across, and search volume that is greater that 1000.

Well folks, its time to start writing your articles {I recommend you just start writing what ever comes to your mind then refine your article, it’s a bit like brain storming and works for me so I can get all my ideas on paper. It has been my experience it is better to just start writing your topic and let your expertise flow into your words before you worry about inserting your key words or keyword phrases.} You need to focus on writing 300 to 600 words in length, it seems people will read your articles more often if they are within this word count range. After you have written down your ideas its time to refine your article by inserting at least two different keyword phrases that refer directly to your articles content. Make sure you only repeat a keyword or keyword phrase every 100 words no less or you could penalized by the search engines for what is called “keyword stuffing” Also , for example the keyword phrase article marketing automation or any variation that had the first two words the same then I could only be used them every 100 words. Count the number of words in your article and divide by 100, if I had a 300 word article I could use the keyword phrase say “home based business” three times spaced between a 100 word count. {You can mix up your keyword phrases so each word is not exactly the same but be careful. Of course if you get creative you could vary your words so they are not exact and get even more value out of this same phrase.}

Good luck on your article marketing endeavors ! remember keywords and keyword phrases are very important to identify your niche market when you write articles.

Micro Niche Finder Review

I have been using Micro Niche Finder for over a year and have been impressed at how useful this niche and keyword finding software is at finding profitable niches and keywords.

This software does all that it is advertised to do and more. Here are a few ways to benefit from using this software.

1.) Find affiliate product niche keywords to build one to five page websites and articles around and promote affiliate products. Regular commissions can be earned on a recurring basis for doing this.

2.) Create keyword rich Adsense content pages that pay you residual ad revenue. Be sure to use the free Google Adwords keyword tool to check out the estimated cost to the advertiser for each keyword. There is no point in targeting low paying keywords if you want decent Adsense income. A high paying niche using high paying keywords will low to medium competition should do the trick.

3.) Create Niche Market Private Label Rights Packages and sell these for a quick profit.

4.) Create Squidoo Lenses and claim your share of the profits generated by the traffic.

5. Create eBay feeder pages and make money when new users register for eBay.

6. Promote affiliate products using keywords that are not often used. These will probably be long tail keywords. These golden keywords will be suitable for effective PPC advertising as well as to bring organic traffic to your website.

7. Find high value keywords to use in article marketing campaigns.

I quickly found some new keywords that more than justified the modest purchase price. The videos explaining how things work and what must be done are well done and easy to follow.

One thing that I believe will be extremely helpful moving forward is not mentioned in the promotional material. This would be to use the software to find niches and key word phrases that you can blog about with little competition.

This is what I am working with now. Once the software finds a low competition keyword that fits into theme and content of one of my blogs I simply do as I always do to write and publish the article.

Since the article is written around key words that people are actually searching for in good numbers and there is not much competition on Google for that key word I have a good chance to get a high ranking on Google. Google then will do a good job of serving ads that are closely related to those keywords. Of course, that will increase the CTR.

You should use the free Google Adwords tool to see how much advertisers are paying for keywords before deciding upon your blog topic. You might as well write about subjects whose keywords pay well rather than those that pay only pennies. Check out the product at Micro Niche Finder and the free Google Adwords tool can help you to sort all of that out and keep you working in profitable niches.
