The “you get an extra $__ in bonuses…” strategy tells your prospects that the total value of your bonus products is a mystery. They will realize that in order to find out the actual value of your bonuses, they will have to purchase your product. You can tell them it will be revealed after they order.

It’s should go without saying the what ever is being sold needs to be worth the selling price. If you are selling a crappy product and try using bonuses to compensate you will need to improve things before continuing, if you want to keep a good reputation.

I love it when I purchase a product online and find that they gave me a great product for the money but also added some extra value by included other relevant bonuses.

I have received bonuses from plenty of purchases I have made but the key difference in a successful strategy is to make those bonuses related to the product they sold you. Who wants to get a product that helps make great web pages and the bonus has nothing at all to do with that. It becomes quite clear that their strategy is to get you to as many money making opportunities they can, which also tells me they don’t expect repeat business.

So, if you are going to add a bonus or two to the sales you make do the right thing and make the bonuses relevant to the sale and I will remember you a lot longer than that other guy. What’s his name again.
