Promoting and selling digital products, such as ebooks or memberships, can be a one way ticket to great earnings. And for me personally digital products means the Clickbank Marketplace.

Note: The Clickbank Marketplace currently has been paying commissions to it’s members since 1998 and has paid out more than a billion dollars in commissions. Holy crap that’s a lot of commission, isn’t it.

Clickbank has more than 12,000 digital products and more than 100,000 affiliate marketers. Those marketers could be selling your very own products as well and you would be earning and paying them commission.

Why Do I Promote The Clickbank Marketplace?

Day after day, year after year, people are looking for answers to something. Those seekers are in luck because there are a thousands of people selling digital products on Clickbank that have the answers those people are looking for.

It’s important to note that Clickbank also has many products that people sell that are just crap, plain and simple. Well you don’t want to be promoting crap as you get a bad name, so it’s vital that you learn about the products you plan to promote.

How to determine if a product is worth your time?

1. Purchase The Product

It’s always a wise move to purchase the digital product you want to promote. That way you have inside information to write about as you promote the product.

Purchasing the product will let you know if the product is worth investing your time into promoting or if you should just request a refund and move on.

Note: I have never asked for a refund from Clickbank that I didn’t get.

Now that I have said that I will add that you don’t have to actually purchase the product, I have just found it saves me a lot of time and if it’s crap I get my money back.

2. Sell Products That Offer Bigger Commission

I agree with Michael Jones, creator of The Affiliate Code. Michael pointed out that it’s smarter to sell products with a commission of at least $30 and to build niche related lists of names and email address.

Once you have a good size list of about 500 people or more you can start to promote those smaller commission products. Then you can actually earn some good income from those lower commissions.

Don’t Promote Crap To Your List

Don’t every promote a products that sucks just because it’s inexpensive because those on your list probably are not stupid and you will just lose them as a subscriber.
