Do you advertise on your blog or web site? Do you earn any money from your advertising?

I have mostly blogs and I do advertise on them and I make money with them. Of course not all of my blogs are successful, it’s a learning experience.

Pre-requisite for Advertising

I have just one requirement for placing ads on my blogs and that’s to have at least 100 unique visitors a day.

Personally I like to have 100 or so daily readers and it seems to work for me. I seem to get about a 1% click through rate so maybe that’s why I find that I make more on advertsing if I wait until I have a 100 readers coming to them daily. For me it’s my advertising starting goal.

I have a number of affiliate programs that I belong to but I also belong to ShareASale.com where I have joined many affiliate programs. It makes it easy to keep up with all the stats when they are located in one single site.

Advertsing on your blog is a great way to earn affiliate income but for me the secret to success with advertising on my blogs has been MODERATION.

Every day I see blogs and web sites where it’s hard to find the content amongst all the Adsense ads and banners. Most days I just shake my head as I am clicking the back button on my browser.
