Wordpress Plugins I Am Currently Using
I started blogging using Blogger.com but I am so glad I eventually decided to switch to Wordpress. I just love Wordpress plugins, they give me so many options for making a better blog.
I would like to tell you about a few of the plugins I use across my blogs.
I decided to move away from adsense style ads from Bidvertiser and even the inline ads from Kontera because I would rather promote or present affiliate ads that make me dollars instead of pennies. I replaced ads in that part of my virtual real estate with an Ad Rotator plugin.
I just setup a text file, put all the affiliate banner links I want for this blog, and then upload them to my wp-content folder.
I then place the ad rotator code where I want the banners to appear and each time the page is loaded or refreshed my banner ads show up. Pretty easy to install and updating the text file is a breeze.
The Akismet plugin helps me control the comment spam so spammers are just wasting their time without getting any recognition at all. This plugin was already installed when I installed Wordpress but it needed to be activated and I also added my Wordpress API code and the rest is pretty automatic.
The All-In-One-SEO pack helps to make my blog more search engine friendly by letting me control what text and keywords are used in the post title, description and keywords.
This wordpress plugin has to be my favorite. Wordpress Affiliate Pro lets me link to keyword phrases throughout my blogs using my affiliate program links. I can even specify how many times the plugin will link per post, so as to not UGLIFY your blog with too many links.
If you do any affiliate marketing this is definitely the plugin to check out.
I don’t make a lot of money online with this plugin but it’s very convenient and lets me link to related books on Amazon and link them within my posts. Very easy to use but it does require that you have an Amazon ID.
I now use DoFollow on my blogs so that I can share the link love.
I noticed that a few blogs had added the CommentLuv plugin. This plugin shows the latest post from the URL field when you leave a comment. It made me happy to see my link there so I am sure it will make other happy to see their link here.

Thanks for the heads up. I think the Amazon one is what I was looking for. It’s always easier having a recommendation than hunting.
Thanks
Sorry Alex I somehow missed your comment.
I really like it when I can get a recommendation for various things, especially plugins, from bloggers that I follow on a daily basis.
It really saves me a lot of headaches and I know this for a fact because I have messed up on my own more than once.
